Absouletly Brilliant. I'm going here this weekend. I've just started competitions even though I've been dancing for almost 8 years. 3 stamps to novice if I place in this.
It's about the normal speed I'm sure...I've never seen it done any slower anyway. The stages at the smaller shows usually have stages about this size.
It depends on what level they are. If they're premier dancers, the music is way fast.
And this isn't a show, cause they're wearing numbers, it's a competition. I agree with you though, at smaller competitions, that's about normal size, but they should only be three dancers on at once not four. Even at a championship where the stages are huge, the rule book suggests only dancing three at a time except for the Fling.
OK it is a show, because I was there. The Lairg Crofter's Show. I know it was a competition, but at a SHOW. They are premier dancers. And I have been at a lot of shows. My sister says she doesn't feel its fast, its the speed she has always been taught at. Perhaps things are done slightly differently where you are. Same with the number on the stage. There were 12 in the premier group and it was in 3 groups of 4. Perhaps whats allowed is different in different parts of the world.

Omg that was fast--and that stage is NOT meant for four dancers at once.

Is she an SOBHD or SOHDA dancer--cause that would make a difference. They do things differently.

It's SOBHD. My sister is about to sit her teaching exam in it.

Me too... So in theory everything should be the same... Interesting!
Wish her luck, it's a hard exam. I took mine in 2007.
