@d2clansorc fair enough. but you are forgetting that this device has a size of netbook. So, if you are carrying this with you all around; you need something that can do anything a netbook already does. in couple of years, iPod Touch will have an equivalent processor anyway.

It's not a computer that is going to allow you to install all sorts of rotten apps and viruses ... so it's going to be flawless at what it does because its under the total control of the apple engineers ... and that is a good thing ....Watch the keynote and learn something ..... yes ...it's supposed to be a touch on steroids .... that's the whole point

I already have an ipod touch.

I was expecting it to have at least 1 HDMI connection, 1 USB connection.

At least it should do WACOM tablet stuff for painting, etc.

You can buy the port for the SD cards. It does have a GPS, Flash and Multitasking can be added in the updates ( and apparently will be in the next 4.0 update )

16:9 screen is only good if you help it landscape. The iPad is designed to be held in any direction.

@superchaoo7 No, that's not what he's saying. He has a valid point. The OS is very limited, and so is the hardware. With the new iPhone coming out, and with the fact that the iPad who is supposed to be more powerful in hardware, isn't, brings up the question if you should get this version just for browsing, limited gaming, 'eBook reading' and editing amateur movies?

It's just too expensive for what you get and it's not open to modification like other tablets....

@config2000 Well after millions sold, looks like you're the one missing the point. None of those things were needed (except maybe the camera) for the target use which is media consumption. Some people didn't get the ipad because some people don't "get it".

@firebolt120 no. WiFi is completely free. The only reason you would have a bill is if you upgrade to the 3g option. I feel that $30 is well worth it to have media everywhere.

The form factor of this device is wrong. Apple should have used something similar to a laptop without a keyboard. People will get sore necks, arms and legs trying to hold this thing in a comfortable position.

The problem is NO. It does not contain FLASH Support which every internet surfers are needed.

It does not contain even MULTI-TASKING which means you can operate ipad with two fingers as I heard from Tech Reviewers.

The price $499 dollars is too much without these specs I mentioned above.

at least it can use the iphone apps, so musicians will be happy, but i would have loved it to be good for designers, would be great to draw and edit imagery. but i doubt that will happen, doesn't even use flash on websites yet
