Awesome! Do you recommend those p90 over humbuckers? How about the hum problem? Does it get less when you keep a certain distance and angle to your amp? Is the hum way worse than with regular fender single coils?
Awesome video! Thanks for posting this. I was very curious about the Reeves 50 PS. How do the cleans sound at low room volumes, and does the 1x12 cab push enough air to play outside. Hoping this amp can do a multitude of situations. Everything you could tell me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
@SumKallMeTIM I use my two Reeves amps for the "rock" gigs I do. I really can't think of any brand of amp that would do a better job, frankly. They have incredible headroom, and with the PS feature, you can really wind them up and roar!
The Reeves 1x12 cab (VP speaker) is a thing of beauty. It actually does a decent 4x12 imitation due to its ported design. The VP speaker needs some time to break in. It sounds better now than it does in this vid, after I played it for the last year.
and Live at Leeds was the mind-blowing factor that made me start playing guitar and become a huge WHO fan! EVERY rock and roll performance should be more like that concert! and if anyone is interested ill be making CP-103/CP-504 DR-103 and DR-504 heads with all original components, but with even better transformers
nice playing, ..your looking a little too relaxed there ol son...you forgot to give that neck a bit of a bend my friend. neck wammy on the sg , treat it mean.
Haha.. I saw this vid a couple of weeks ago and didn't notice it was yours. Didn't know (judging by your other vids) that you were a Townshend-style connoisseur. Great tone and playing, as usual.
that a great guitar and a beautiful tone. I like the changes you made on the guitar, did you also change the pots and the caps? I hear that it really improve the tone, what do you think of that? I got an 05 sg classic, pure tone for a good price guitar!!!

One can tell immediately how inside the tone you are, really dug watching this... the connection between player, guitar, and amp is seamless.

@yoctanuri yes - i forgot to mention that. it's wired like a 50's/60's Gibson and has 500k pots for tone and volume.
