WHAAAT? I find that almost impossible to believe. I know identical twins who look less similar than these two do. I thought fraternal twins are no more likely to look the same as any other siblings, apart from the fact they will obviously look the same age?
Me and my twin brother are identical and were friends with two fraternal twins. They find it really annoying whenever people ask me and Oliver (my twin) if were twins, and Ben and Max (our fraternal twin friends) always get so pissed off. Its funny when your actually there.
And you can tell if a person is identical without dna...identical twins share the same bag in the womb fraternal twins do not they have separate bags!
To the person who keeps saying they're identical...you're 100% WRONG....doesn't matter if they look alike, they do not share the same dna so therefore they're fraternal twins....
I've yet to see a reputable source that they are fraternal. This seems like a classic identity chrisis thing, or the doctors mistaking choriotic and amniotic for zygoticy, a surprising, yet very common mistake. They are clearly monozygotical (identical), I won't believe it either until I see a DNA test.

I still think they are identical... Identical twins don't always look exactly the same, there can be different height, hair color... Having the same genes doesn't make people be exaclty the same because environment interfers.

it baffles my mind that SO many people cannot even spell "fraternal" lol. I find them easy to tell apart... at least at this age, I can`t once they hit their teens, probably because I completely stopped watching them and do not know which looks like what... but anyways, my sister and I successfully switched classes before and can`t always tell us apart in pictures, and we are 3 years apart! They just happened to get similar features like my sis and I but it`s harder because they are the same age at the same time.

They a LOT alike, but not COMPLETELY alike. If you look closely at their faces, MaryKate's nose is more wider, and Ashley eyes are more rounder. And Mary Kate's eyes are more far apart. Plus Ashley is taller.

I don't think there's anything wrong with your eyes. But I've always been able to tell them apart. Remember the physicall differences I listed below the next time you look at a picture of them both, and you will be able to understand what I mean.

My big sisters are twins. They are identlcal but I can tell them apart anyway.

being fraternal has nothing to do with looking alike. Siblings look alike all the time. PPL think me and my brother are twins but he's one year older than me.

I find them easy to tell apart... at least at this age, I can`t once they hit their teens, probably because I completely stopped watching them and do not know which looks like what... but anyways, my sister and I successfully switched classes before and can`t always tell us apart in pictures, and we are 3 years apart! They just happened to get similar features like my sis and I but it`s harder because they are the same age at the same time.

con`t... personally I often find it a lot harder to tell MK apart from their younger sister Lizzie ROFL... I always seem to mix them up when they are young (unless of course they are standing where you can see the height diff since MK is older, but if you can`t see it, I can`t tell them apart)

It has nothing to do with looking alike! Mary Kate and Ash do not come from the egg, so they are fraternal.
The thing about them making a song called identical twins was kinda dumb. I mean, why would they if they're fraternal?

They a LOT alike, but not COMPLETELY alike. If you look closely at their faces, MaryKate's nose is more wider, and Ashley eyes are more rounder. And Mary Kate's eyes are more far apart. Plus Ashley is taller.

How can two people come from 2 different eggs and look so much alike, almost identical? I'm mean, most people can't even tell them apart. I'm sorry but they are identical, I don't care what anybody says, I have eyes and they work just fine.

I don't think there's anything wrong with your eyes. But I've always been able to tell them apart. Remember the physicall differences I listed below the next time you look at a picture of them both, and you will be able to understand what I mean.

MKABrasil- Thank You for posting this video!! I couldn't believe when I heard an interview with MK&A that they were fraternal. I had to google it. I made a video of my twins in which it says that MK&A are fraternal...and people find that hard to believe! Muito obrigada

They are Fraturnal even though they look a lot alike. Fraturnal twins don't have to look completely different. MKA are fraturnal 'cuz Identical twins have to look exactly or just about alike.

It is thought that MK and A could be 'polar body' twins, which is when one egg splits and then is fertilized by 2 different sperm. This would make them 'half-identical' but still officially fraternal...

i have an identical and ppl cant tell us apaart but i never knew that they were feternal haha sometimes my sister and i will like switch classes like one class if i like her class and she likes mine well switch weve only done it like 4 -5 times and we havent been caught!!
