pleas can anyone tell me how do you deaden the overtone on snare drums like this ( the after effect of the snare ) I just want a short noise from the snare. I have bought a remo emperor snar/tom tom head and it sounds awful ! so can anyone tell me please , thanks :) ( or just other heads what do this ) or do I need a new snare drum because it was a £160.00 drum kit so the snare isant good :)

@pugNdrum Use moongels. Also try the EVANS HD dry snare head it has a great crack and very little overtones. I tried remo and i didn't like them :P
