  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • How did you get your videos in high defition i cant spell it.

  • do u have windoes movie maker

  • thanks that was brilliant

  • 5/5

  • high quality is different to high def...

  • You tube changed their HD res again its now 1440x720 a 2:1 aspect ratio, I have no idea why they did it its kinda stupid.

  • Thx alot for your help

  • Great solution (the last one), i was wondering how to do that to not be pressing HQ everytime i want to watch the big version. I have another mission to you, what about making categories for my favorites? you know, is a pain in the ass to look for a video if you dont know exactly where it is, thank you very much, im suscribing!

  • Thanks, I wondered how to do that.

  • HQ is not HD

  • This video is not in high def

  • thanks so much.

  • me to help me i used to have the link for hd but now its gone, iv tryed the &fmt=18 and the rest but it doesnt work help me please

  • &fmt=22

  • Thank you.

  • help me i used to have the link for hd but now its gone, iv tryed the &fmt=18 and the rest but it doesnt work help me please

  • &fmt=18 = High Sound Quality, Good Video quality... Overall status (High Quality)

&fmt=6 this will make a Flash video, which will have Low Sound Quality, High Video Quality, Overall Status (Normal Quality)

You show the top which makes better sound, you are setting the framerates to 18 making the video overall better. High Definition will literally make the video bigger.

For expl, to understand the Difference between high definition and high quality watch my Everytime We Touch video vs this :)

  • This is High Quality not High Definittion

  • High Quality not High Definition!!1

  • nice info playboy

  • high quality is not the same as high def.

  • this is HQ not HD..!!!

  • if you really want to see HD go to my chanell...now i have only 1 but i will put more

  • nice

  • high definition it's &fmt=22 :D

  • This is high quality not high definition

  • thank you

  • This is high QUALITY not high DEFINITION

  • ok thats not high definition thats just high quality.. theres a huge difference between HD and HQ

  • Cool!! I just typed that &fmt=18 thing on the address bar and viola! It looks awesome clear...

  • actually yes it does, but just barely, and only with a few selected vids, type in fmt=22 instead. Might work, might not.

  • &fmt=22 will only work if the video takes up all the space no black remaining

  • Nevermind people, I read it on a website, didn't even bother to compare it, doesn't work, so far fmt=18 is the only thing that bumps up quality.

  • Okay, but I know how to watch in real hd, instead of 18, put 22... tell me how that works out for you, the sound is not improved but the video is.

  • nice

  • Very nice my friend..

  • hey Bucky, I wanted to say something that might be helpful. you might want to use more video tags, like "video", "quality", "HD" or anything else people who are trying to figure this out might search for in google! Thanks for teaching us!

  • shouldn't &fmt=18 still be added to some videos even if you change your settings to high def when available since that piece of code should force it to high def even when the option is not available?

    What aatos313373 said

  • yes, that will make a video without the apparent option, into a HD link. Thanks Bucky. Great information for people. once again, you got our backs!

  • Nice tips Bucky! Although I encounter problems which may interest you. I have a 10MB broadband internet connection and always have the "I have a fast connection. Always play higher-quality video when it's available" option selected. However, this video still came up with the low-quality version when I clicked it in my subscription vids. Most the time there is no "Watch in high quality" link either. When I added "&fmt=18" to the end of the URL it changed to the high-quality version. Why is this?

  • yea i now what the heck, this is the only video that doesn't show up high quality? how ironic

  • the irony is thick lol

  • Haha exactly! I find it happens with some other videos too, Youtube needs to sort that out and make sure the playback setup/preference definitely works all the time when it's select.

    Keep up the great vids!

  • @thenewboston How can your grammar be so shitty, while your English in the video is perfect?

    Just asking

  • High Quality NOT High Def!!!!!

  • same meaning

  • Thanks,Bucky!

  • Great tips! Thanks Bucky :7)

  • wow... cool... i did not know about the change of settings for video playbacks... thanks

  • Lol, i found out the third option 3 days ago (after making my account) by accident, and i already knew the first two. Anyways Propz on this vid since it should help out a lot of new youtubers. shouldn't &fmt=18 still be added to some videos even if you change your settings to high def when available since that piece of code should force it to high def even when the option is not available?
