The R.O.B. was just a scam by Nintendo. Stores wouldn't carry a new video game system after the video game market crash in 1983, They created R.O.B. to market the first NES release as a toy set with a video game system rather than a video game system.

you are aware it is way faster and more officiant to not even use the gyro-spinner

to play gyromite.

the spinner is really pointless unless you have to press both red and blue down at the same time, which only happens about 3 or 4 times in the whole game.

if you're trying to use him on an LCD tv that would definitely be the problem. otherwise the contrast/brightness could be bad.

I know how.

You have this game called Gyromite.

In this game you are a proffesor who has dynamite in his lab.

And he has to get the bombs before tehy explode.

BUD there are pilars in the way RED and BLEU.

So R.O.B moves the gyro's on the platform in front of him.

And so gets a button on the controler puched and move's a pillar.

R.O.B moves by flashes on the screen who you gave by YOUR controler.

You see those colors flashing on the tv? thats how. ROB has little cameras in his eyes that help him to determing color (much like the wii zapper) and that red light on his head means he's locked onto the TV. I dont think that he works on plasma TV's though

NES zapper , i think you meant :) . yer the tv would flash very fast and send instuctions to r.o.b or the light gun . yer only crt tvs could do this . its the same reason that time crisis 4 for the ps3 now has infrared sensors that you have put to at the top of the tv . as lcd and plasma cant put out light the same way

I'm guessing you have a control for him, and you use him to operate the controller by moving around the "gyros" which seem to be a spinning "tops" Looks real hard because you have to be quick about pressing and depressing the buttons. Notice how quick gyromite died. Its because ROB didn't pick the gyro right back up after gyromite got by the first pipe thing.
