Ok. Just to clear everything up, (everyone is right, just putting the pieces together) Lucrecia worked for Grimoire Valentine, who is Vincent's father. He saved her life at the cost of his own when he sustained fatal injuries from an experiment gone bad. She feels guilty when Vincent falls in love with her because she views his father's death has her fault. So, she falls in love with Hojo and has a baby infected with Jenova cells. (after much protest from Vincent) That baby is Sephiroth.

Very Good video. Sadly Hojo had to be the Fagget who killed vincent :| vincent handles things very well. He' plays the best role out of the Final Fantasy games i have played. Yeah. Poor vincent though. it seems he loved Professor Creascent alot, but hojo fucked himover. Seriously Vincent is a Pro character. good video 5/5

Hojo did shoot Vincent, and experimented on him however that resulted in his body not aging and having the transformation of the "Galian Beast". His body was still dying though, and it was Lucrecia that put Chaos into him.

I think Genesis is partly to blame, but Hojo created Sephiroth, Genesis, Deepground and a whole host of other evil stuff, so it's pretty much his fault. Plus, he killed Vincent, the bastard.
