  • lmfao@that angle trowel for laying on EIFS dpr finish. Insane tips........

  • That's the biggest mess of stucco i've ever seen, bad info don't go by this.

  • these guys dont look like Pros , more like TV actors

  • I think all of you who are complaining about the job these guys are doing should make your own videos showing what you believe to be the right way to stucco. Many of us can't afford to hire professionals, and need someone to show us how to do the job. Rather than criticizing someone who is trying to help us learn how to do it ourselves, how about helping us instead by making good stucco videos?

  • @chipbhi Why the hell would you want to learn how to apply stucco anyway it's back breaking work and can take someone a long time to perfect the right technique to make look right. Higher a professional you'll be happy you did, and concentrate on doing the parts of a job you have the skill and knowledge to perform.

  • @chipbhi i highly recommend looking else where for stucco tips, these guys SUCK!! a real mason would never use premixed stucco. and what they were calling a smooth finish was a joke to me, for a smooth finish you need to get it 95 percent smooth before the stucco hardens, the sponging is just to bring the sand out to the surface. i wish i had time at work to film myself doing stucco. just take my word for it

  • These two guys are a laugh a minute. I've spent 30 years in the stucco and plaster trade, and that's what it is a trade! Do not try to do what they are TRYING to show you! First of all, what they are trying to apply is 3rd coat material and they are using the wrong tools. Second, for the best possible job it needs to be done in 3 to 4 stages: Lath, Scratch, Brown and then and only then a 3rd coat (color) on a sound and smooth Brown coat which the above video is not! There's no shortcuts.

  • yall have no idea what yall r doin.

  • these guy's are total idiot's they have no buisness even applying this product much less trying to tell someone else how to do it. They need to learn how first themselves I can't believe that a reputable company like STO would want this to be seen what a disgrace to the product and trade It might seem harsh but just look at their finish product are you kidding me

  • it ain't right lol

  • you guys are too funny, I watched your video at least 5 times and still find it hilarious, keep up the funny stuff, we need some comedy in the stucco industry.

    Kirk

  • this information has been provided by 2 people who dont know anything about the trade or the proper application process. i wonder if there company name is KRAP STUCCO?

  • These videos are good for the professional industry. They allow us to keep being professionals and noobs continue to be noobs. They release no secrets or true how to info.

  • this is garbage there brown coat is fuckin ridiculous haha im still laughin -for those that dont know just wet the brown coat apply the stucco with a red float then float it again with a green float and if sand finish is what you want easy grab a hopper and shoot it until it looks even just a tip for those people that dont know about this

  • sucks!..stucco is applied simply mixed in bucket and applied with a sponge float'..straight from bucket!..this vid'..is very old technique..and they would take forever to finish a home!..after stucco..sets..depending on finish'..{spanish lace..etc}..use sponge float...w/water in bucket and float to fine finish!...very simple process'..but effective...and fast!..they are plastering..and suckoing!..Imho!!..LOL!!

  • Wow, just wow. I recently stucco'd my house, after a siding tear-off. I hired good quality guys that have been doing stucco full time for years. They did NOTHING like these guys do. First, just look at that gray cement base coat - horrible. Never once did they use a sponge, only floats. Also, look at the corner at 1:49 - no tape, horrible lines, overall very sloppy job.

  • All negativity aside, this video really is lacking. What some people fail to realize is that many use youtube as a source to DO IT YOURSELF. I might not be a pro, but I never have seen others or have myself placed stucco that way. Trowel, sponge float and other tools for the different types of finish. Plus a start to finish would have been better. Like the rodding would have been a good thing to see. This could use improvement IMO.

  • joke

  • El Stucco es SuCkO!!!

  • All you viewers need to chill-out. This is just a basic FYI about stucco. If a DYI'er dosen't know this part, no one has to worry about him making a master villa either !-)

  • I hope no one stuccos their house like this then tries to sell it. These guys can stucco my BBQ. Maybe.

  • Oh dear lord. WTF is going on here? I strongly recomend that NO ONE listen to these guys. This type of crap should be illegal to air. Leave your stucco work to the pros. Whats next, DIY brain surgery???

  • This is less of a how-to and more of a commercial for crappy stucco in a bucket.

  • heya, my wall and celling's paint is breaking off and the revealed base seems very sandy (I can easily scratch out sand-like grains from the revealed surface).

How should I go about fixing this? I was told stucco, but I'm afraid the stucco would just fall off (since the surface without the paint is so sandy like).

    Thanks

  • Why no info on wall prep? Paper application and wire installtion? I can't stucco an unpreped area....anyone kmow of videos on youtube to look at?

  • majestik is an illiterate retard with a big head about himself

  • fuck i guess im applying for a job at diy i know more than these guys , i guess theyll give me a spot as a supervisor since they put these guys on tv that dont know shit

  • this guys are beginners you apply stucco with a float not with a sponge and youve got to be skillful to apply it because if youre to slow the stucco would come out dotty and with lines , and you always buy the 90 pound sacks not premix this guys are lazy

  • Idiots

  • I premix my stucco then apply thick but smoothly to the wall. The opposite of whats going on here.

  • You've got to be kidding. This contradicts everything else I have read. You've got to be serious about what you have underneath, and you have to let it dry properly (not too much, not too little). Why people like this insist on making videos I will never understand.

  • this is bull shit, not a stucco!!! hahaha

u guys dont eva have tools hahaha

  • I work at a place selling the same stucco they used, and that's not the correct way to apply stucco. Bad job period.

  • I'm not an expert in stucco, but I been doing some texture jobs and plain stucco finishes and the way they said that you should do the stucco it's not a proper way, look the finish they have with sponge, not good ha ha ha

  • Excellent video

  • not very good.
