  • some post here hear about the exercise not doing anything for their stomach..the truth is that the abs exercise may work the core but does nothing to show them - abs are made in the kitchen not in the gym. Many people who have abs do not even train them that hard - cause they know its the diet that will reveal the stomach muscle one has already..

  • Hi Jeff, I'm in 6th week of athlean-x, which is going great, but I'm struggling to get shape in my chest on the outside as I used to be chubby! Just wondered if you had any exercises that concentrate more on shaping this part of the chest? Thanks.

  • @musclebomber1 no i made it even harder i lifted my legs higher and my upper body off the floor a bit higher making a smaller angle and harder to twist side to side so this is pretty easy

  • Hi, nice videos. I'm really thinking about buying the ATHLEAN-X program but I would like to know if the ab exercices and the other ones aren't bad for my back because I have disc herniation.

  • @r0ums As a physical therapist, I like to think that with any program I create I consider safety first. After all, if your exercises are injuring you....chances are you're not going to be able to do them at some point! AthLEAN-X combines the most joint friendly (but at the same time...kick butt) core exercises you've ever seen. 90 days from now you won't only be ripped, but strong and core stabile!

  • @freefaller82aa Im from the UK too, I think most chemists have machines that can measure you body fat, i don't know if they are very good thou.

  • I have been looking for a new Ab workout, this looks great I don't think I can do 5 rounds lol maybe 4, but I'll do my best for 5.

  • Awesome transformation Ben! Congratulations. Looky here though, I'm gonna try this exercise today 'cause' I'm an ab monster, but usually left and right movements are considered ONE REP not two. Of course 200 sounds more intense than 100 but 100 it is!

  • @OfficialRayzorMusic yes you can do this just to strenthghth abs. but to visually see abs the fat needs to be rided of.

    cardio excirsises:plank, bycycle crunches, mountain climbers, weighted lunges. 10 reps each. 3 rounds. for the plank do 10 seconds since with planks you cant really do reps per say.

  • Is the whole site about burning fat? Because i've been working out for about a year now, i'm 67 kg's and 1.77 high. Ive seen some results but i thought i would see better results within that period... Is there a program on the site to make me gain weight and at the same time get great results when it comes to my muscles?

  • @Linky360 Totally! Nutrition is key, people think because they can run a marathon every day or workout intensely they can eat whatever they want because "they burn it..." Well truth is you cant! The quality of every calorie counts!

  • @chavamma for so long i would run 4 miles a day sumtimes 8 miles a day at least 4 times a week!! never say big results....did sum reasearch..and found out a pound a pasta or 3 chesssburgers after your workout defeats the purpose..and actually gain weight! hah..no more precious size cake 4 me!! actually no cake 4 me at all!

  • @Linky360 I was stuck in the same mistake for a while, I'm a Sandan(3rd Degree BB) In Combat Judo, and would workout intensely and eat as I pleased and always maintained a steady weight and couldnt get rid of that last fat around my abdomen Which is where I agree with you!   • @chavamma I am having the same proble with a fairly small but stubborn bit around my stomach, though I workout regularly and intensely. Very annoying.

  • @rmsolympic1 Clean out your nutrition from anything that's processed/junk food. (Mayo, chips, pizza, any type of nonhealthy craving, etc.) and if you eat late try and make it a small snack meal with lots of proteing sort of like 100% fat free cottage cheese, and strawberries, blueberries, acaiberries, anything with berries in it great anti-oxidants for muscle repair. Also try making it a habit of working out in the morning you've alot more testostorone in the morning. your testostorone levels...

  • @rmsolympic1 Are at their max in the morning because that's when the body has depleted more than 50% of its glycogens store. so you dont have that much energy in your blood stream to workout on, so that's when your body looks into your fat stores for energy, which in other words burnning your excess body fat, and the testostorone level helps your muscle growth.   • @OfficialRayzorMusic 3 times a week. not consecutively. && no you need cardio along with this. all this does is strenghthen muscle it doesnt burn fat

  • love these videos, but here's my problem all these guys seem to already have somewhat of a flat stomach already what about us guys who have a gut? With my belly these exersizes never seem to make a difference can you help?

  • @nachotoonz u need to lose body fat. which means watch what you eat and excercise a lot.

  • @83HemskyEDM um okay...I exersize about 4 times a week but have a bad knee, so not much cardio as far as eating right is concerned I have 3 kids so its not really in my budget to buy healthy. I do what i can but thats not really making a difference

  • @nachotoonz i completely agree. also, some of the exercises in the program, i cant even do 2 reps! im not sure how to over come these like esp the ones where you work with things that you cant control (eg using your own weight) but exercises which i can control weight are fine

  • @nachotoonz if youve got a belly u wanna try some aerobic exercise before u do abdominal exercises. do a 5-10 min warm up on a bike or run then do a minute at your fastest pace then do the workout

  • @nachotoonz In order to get a "6 pack" you need to get your body fat under 10% so the first thing to do is to get a cardio exercise plan to shed body fat otherwise you probably have rock hard abs.(Just cover With fat).Hope it helps!.!.

  • @smul08 I would think that this exercise would. Typically when you work your abs, you stimulate ur back to.

  • @smul08 Although i love Jeffs work I do think this exercise is causing compresion on the lumbar disks. Also for it to be a Pilates 'roll up' the spine must longer and no abdominal doming (keeping Rectus abdominus strapped in with a strong contraction or TVA) is aloud.
