Beat Thang Virtual first look

i got the version 2.0.1. and no shortcut pops out when i finish the installation i try to start up the VSTi plugin in FL Studio 9 but it says:Error Reading NewCaption TextInactive Code Property: Textinac.PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP!!!

yo saint joe...i got a problem with my BTV.....i installed it and everything came out good untell i try to open the program it self i double click and a window pops up sayin BTV HAS STOP WORKING AND WONT OPEN ..I GOT A VISTA PC 2G AND 32 BIT ....do u have any idea it could be....and do i have to install the (TPK INSTALLER)....GET BACK AT ME PLEASE THANX JOE

@ROLLUPTV should be able to assign it to whatever you want, just assign it to sampla or whatever, make sure pro tools is closed when you do this.

mine won't sample off youtube/cd/dvd, go to sample and record then no sound goes through the virtual. i can only play one audio application at a time. im using a PC, u recommend anything?

you need a virtual audio cable or a soundcard that can record streaming audio. On the Mac they have soundflower, there really isn't anything on PC that works the same, some soundcards give you the ability to record "what you hear" or "wave out" or "stereo mix"

I use a usb soundblaster because some more "pro" cards can't do it. I use it to record the audio for my videos now.

yeah, all soundblasters have the ability to record streaming audio as an input source, so you could use this to record from youtube into your virtual or any other application.

I use it to record the audio of what I'm doing in my videos, into another app so it doesn't have to go through the camera any more

@SoundsAndGear this has some relativity to the vid. i have an m-box but i have been having problems with the driver. like it only works for pro tools. but it wound work for and of my stand alone programs like sampla unless i got thur pro tools. i want to use my big speakers on this when i get it .but most likely will probably have the same problem. how can i fix this. sir? thank you for this vid and your time.

I think they should let users have full control (except for saving) with the demo for that 10 days. I tried to sample and couldnt even do it (the demo had it disabled) Believe me... if I try the full version and dig it I will buy it ..I just need hands on.

Music is creation with vibe and feeling. A genius can simplify it. Fl studio and the rest put a learning curve on a vibe to feel and express music. MEANWHILE STILL SELLING YOU MORE SOFTWARE!!!Thats why this invention crushes all competition. If fact if it had been a group of white men introducing the beat thang the reviews would have been off the meters but since its some blacks dudes happy at it.

I dunno man, it's all good to me, I just don't think it's a replacement for a full daw lol. It's a beat machine, that's it. Fl or protools are full daw setups, so of course it will have more of a learning curve. by the way, I use neither of them myself lol, I don't like them.

I like what beat thang is, but I'm a realist, it can't replace protools as a recording software, nor fl, live, sonar, etc as a daw because it isn't meant to be that.

@butterpeas22 bro... a learning curve is part of the game...you put emphasis on Fl studio (which I used and STILL use) and honestly there arent many programs on the market that can fuk with FL. I tried the demo to Beat Thang and its cool... but lets not put it in a category with FL and Pro-tools just yet...cause its not there yet. With that said... I hope BT blows up and sells and also advances its features in the future. The Hardware is a different story..lol.. Im really anxious to see it.

24 bit 32 bit should tell you what is possible. i remember you did big things with maschine. But the praise you put on it i definitely dont see (YET). Man its cool you are one of the hottest producers on youtube been watching ya for a while. but ya know that! now when i say they suck i need to define it. okay they dont suck they just cost more and more money. 4 sum reason i can't get my MPK49 to work with BeatThang, I got my midi input set to MPK49 but still no action, please help!!!

you prolly need to hit up their support folks. Also, mess with the midi root note because btv covers all 88 keys of a piano and not all midi controllers do, you may have to change octaves to get all the way down to the sounds.

it is not cpu heavy at all.

I hear ya man...I can't wait for the hardware myself. I think they go well together too. Make sure you come by my site man and stay up on all the news...I get it as soon as it's available and post the info online. Sometimes I get it right as or after they post it on their site, I've been in dialog with the company so...it's all good man!

I actually have Beat Kangz current hardware unit they did with Zoom (The StreetBoxx). Cool little box.., great samples.., but the preset beats are pretty weak. I'm very excited about this new unit. I'll be buying it for sure and posting some vids.

it really depends on how you want to make music and what type of music you make. Beat thang is pretty straight forward but it doesn't have step recording and such yet. FLstudio is usually good for those just getting started as well. I think Native Instruments Maschine is a great option too, it really just depends on what you want to do

Yeah, I'm used to working with that...that way what I put in is what it is...sounds pretty good do, far as the groove, since it's such a high res, I get what i want.
