For those who may not know: Around 30 year ago the vail was unknown in Egypt. It started by the end of the 1970e and beginning of the 1980ies. At the begining people were even discussing if it is at all good. This is because as when a girl wore a head scarf with rather a longer (not too long, just knee length) skirt every one who was walking in the street was looking at her. Which means it drew more attention. Most people who started wearing the vail has been working in the Gulf states before.
