And God delivers ppl from things like this everyday. this is his testimony. It is about what he went through during his ungodly years. Some of the thing that he had gone through were not pretty or nice. But to the glory of God he was able to go head and find Jesus. And from there all of his sins, and all of his mistakes were erased. I'm 38 now and I not only write and record my own Christian music, but I also love many different styles and types of music. Stryper, Petra, Carman, Third Day, Skillet, etc. Kirk will reach people that Stryper can't, and vice versa. They all have their place. Jesus said if you're not against me, you are FOR me. I love those diff groups.

Your comment is absurd. I've been a Christian and Disciple of Jesus for 28 years now and this is one of the most annointed music events in all of History. Just because the Angels don't rap (and that's your opinion) doesn't mean that God can't use rap music for His Glory, especially when it comes from the heart of one of his own children. @classicalpentecost I've been a Christian since I was around 14 years old, but I have also been through hard times. Anyone and EVERYONE could stand to be closer to God - even you. BUT, when you carry around things of your past, hurt, sadness, regrets, ect, it's hard to move foward. This sond is perfectly appropriate. He isn't glorifying the devil, he's trying to let go of his past, do he can be a better christian.

He's using his life's experiences to show that people can get through whatever crap they're going through. The stuff that he's talking about is stuff that people go through everyday. Drugs, sex and rape are a part of everyday life for a lot of people. But, if you want to shelter your kids from stuff that like that go ahead.

@mcrchickenluvr, yes I have heard Stryper's music. I first heard them back in 1985 or so I believe. I'm 38 now and I not only write and record my own Christian music, but I also love many different styles and types of music. Stryper, Petra, Carman, Third Day, Skillet, etc. Kirk will reach people that Stryper can't, and vice versa. They all have their place. Jesus said if you're not against me, you are FOR me. I love those diff groups.

Actually I was asking classicpentecostal that question. But I love Stryper. I got baptized to "Honestly" back in 2004. I wanted my pastor to sing it but instead he got a friend of his to sing it. That 'friend' was Michael Sweet. Well it was a video of him singing it but still, Michael Sweet sang it at my baptism.
