im american and i dont know anyone that cant find europe. in fact, we can tell you where europe is without looking at a map and I could tell you where germany is and i can speak german, english and japanese. the only reason why i dont have a passport is because they cost too much money and not all americans can just grab a passport and fly across the world if they have no money. we could say british people all have bad teeth and are ugly. but thats stereo typing and I dont want to be ignorant.

The allied forces were actually more overwhelmed with POW's towards the end of the war. A short time after D-day, they realized they were already beaten. Entire sections would surrender at one time. They were tired of fighting and tired of the strangle hold the Nazis had on the german people.

I am German and I thank America, and its Allies for investing many lives to rid us from the Nazis, AND very importantly, to carry out the Marshall Plan to help the western part back on its feet. This was indeed 50 to 60 years ago. US citizens who still hate Germany for no good reason should take a proper look at it now, and be pleased that their (grand-)dads made the Nowaday-Germany possible.
