GM this is an awsome offroad vehicle my only beef is i need a v8 i just hope the v6 has enough power cause every1 knows the h3 is slow as hell im a diehard chevy guy but when gm drops a v8 in it ill definitely purchase :)
FYI Hummer and Jeep where both owened by AM General. AMG spilt right to Jeep and Hummer when the sold the right to build there military style vehicles. Jeep tryed to sue Hummer to get the rights for the 7 port grille, but they lost. SO Hummer did not steal jeeps 7 slot grille. They are related, even though they are different brands.
Chrysler let General use the Jeep grille. GM got the right to use hummer's name. H1 was never built by GM. When the H2-3 etc. came out they had the 7-slot design. A judge ruled because Jeep let the H1 use the design any hummer could use it. It later showed that the judge had a large some of money. The media never followed up on it and the story died very fast.
What is that huge disgusting POS!? This thing uses more space than the International Space Station. "Removable First Aid Kit and Shovel"? Yeah ok, but I'm looking for the Hummer that has a shovel permanently welded to the body so I can shovel idiotic consumers into a Soylent Green container. Oh yeah and obviously no First Aid Kit because I don't care if I drive over a small child while I'm eating a McFamily Meal whilst speaking to some asshole on my mobile phone.
Hey, GM, you r trying to hard to be....green!! we all know it is just a PR !!Just build this thing and you will have me as your new customer!!! GM, are u reading this???? Thankyou!
hey, I really dont care about what other people say, because they are just jealous!!! hahaha! build this thing and I will drive it over a Jeep!GM, are u listing???? please build this thing ..........SUPER...SOON !!!
Ethanol production consumes large quantities of unsustainable petroleum and natural gas. Even with the most-optimistic energy return on investment claims, in order to use 100% solar energy to grow corn and produce ethanol, the consumption of ethanol to replace current U.S. petroleum use alone would require about 75% of all cultivated land on the face of the Earth, with no ethanol for other countries, or sufficient food for humans and animals.
not sure about your claims, but I must add that enthonal production is profitable, and farmers are considering switch to grow such crops instead of food for consumption, eventually reducing suply and driving up prices
I got all that from the Wikipedia article on ethanol as an alternative fuel. There is a "Criticisms and Controversy" section in the article that lists possible downsides of its use as an alternative fuel.
yeah i read the same thing, but i don't know if you heard about GM's joint venture with Coskada. Coskada is a company that is developing bio fuel that will change allot. For one they can make fuel from anything like recycled tiers, common household waste. I think its pretty interesting.
The European Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development warns that "the current push to expand the use of biofuels is creating unsustainable tensions that will disrupt markets without generating significant environmental benefits." [Source: Wikipedia]
In 2007, biofuels consumed one third of America's corn (maize) harvest. Filling up one U.S. SUV fuel tank one time with ethanol uses enough corn to feed one person for a year. 30m tonnes of U.S. corn going to ethanol in 2007 greatly reduces the world's overall supply of grain. [Source: Wikipedia]
It's not hard to make a smaller, lighter Hummer you know. Flex Fuel is also a joke. It the Big 3's way to keep making big, consumptive engines and claim environmental stewardship. All Flex Fuel means is that they changed some seals and hoses to handle higher %'s of ethanol. It's simply lip service compared to true innovation in the form of hybrids and modern diesel technologies.
lol production warthog basically lol looks cool i want drop a v10 in there tho and bigger tires, rims are nice =)
