Interesting... there is a version of this movie with a polish polish voice over it. In this polish version Mr. Julian Kulski says one more sentence in his line @ 4.00 min. He said:

: " We were attacked by 18 Germans. I killed one of them. I did not think about them as people - they were not human. They did not behave as human beings for the last 5 years. I'm thinking abut murdering women & children & about getto". Americans cut that sentence off - POLITICAL CORRECTNESS.

@zentrallondon: In 1939, when Germans attacked Poland, 720 polish soldiers were defending town called Wizna for 3 days agains 43 000 (!) germans soldiers. Polish unit had 4 anti-tank guns and a few mortars. Germans had over 300 tanks, they lost over 80. It would be better then "300", isn't it? ^^ Btw, check out "sabaton - 40:1" on Youtube.

Truth is that the whole Polish Underground history in WWII + the battles Poles fought outside Poland + the whole global politics intrigue with Stalin etc. is one HELL OF a material for a movie, even many-seasoned tv serie, would love it if HBO made sth bought it.

Look it doesnt matter what was agreed . The Russians could do what they wanted in eastern Europe and did . The only possible way to stop them was for the allies to stop attacking Hitler - let the Germans & Russians smash each other to bits. & then attack the weakened survivor .
