All RE games are nice, the one that truly was bad in my opinion is RE 5. It just broke my heart playing that game. Why did they eliminate the horror element and puzzles.... damn you capcom

even without 4, 5 connects to the old games just fine on its own. Nothing except some of the enemies in 5 have a connection to 4.

@edward18517 I actually begin to agree with that myself now. I first played 4 properly, then went back to the originals, and then got 5. 5 let me down to begin, as a survival horror game, but I have realised what it lacks in atmosphere (which I felt 4 did have), 4 just seems to drag on.

@MegaElectricity You're forgetting the BS story arc of wesker who is now a clone and everything he planed was predetermined by spencer. Playing as Wesker in the MErcenaries is the reason to play this game if your a fan of the evil blond with glasses

@MegaElectricity I agree with you on that. i miss the puzzles and the idea of horror behind RE. This went sour at RE4 but RE4 was great.However yes RE5 is bad to alot of people. However i still own my copy of the game because im such a RE fan boy lol.

@NoirXander RE4 was good in terms of gameplay, but the storyline sucked and so did RE5's. The whole idea of a government agent saving the presidents daughter from a crazed madman bent on taking over the world with mind controlling parasites is something I would expect from a bizarre James bond flick or a Dr Who episode, not from a resident evil game!

All RE games after zero were mostly about action and shooting rather than fear and suspense.

@LordMalice6d9 Yeah I agree with you on that one...what sucks is there is going to be another one...Now RE4 is Much like the nicolas cage film the village...RE5 is like black hawk down. Capcom need to see RE4 was a one off the new games don't have the mind games and puzzels nor does it give the feeling of fear ( like your said )

I hope when 6 comes out it is at least something like the old ones, rather than a shootem up when the only time your scared is of an axe slamming at your feet...
