  • James why aren't u a director/producer/or whatever? seriously bro you've forgotten more about the filming industry than most people will ever know...

  • Yeah! I love these old cartoons! They are WWWWAAAAYYYY better than the stuff today! Most of Todays cartoons are not very well animated.. These old ones are actually funny too.

  • 1940-1990 was truly the golden age of good cartoons....now there are just weird 3d shows

  • I WILL BUY A DAFFY DUCK DVD ¡RIGHT NOW! : )

  • 0:27

    :V

  • Cartoon Network has recently been showing Looney Toons and Tom & Jerry again <3

  • I bought The Looney Tunes Golden Collection so i got to see Boobs in the Woods on a big screen with Daffy and Porky, they were just spectacular!

  • cartoons nowadays are shit

  • I just thought I would mention, luckily enough, some of these cartoons are still being shown sporadically on Cartoon Network.

  • I miss the classic Saturday morning cartoons, those were some good times!

  • James & Mike are my heroes i would love to hang with these guys for a day it would kick fucking ass!

  • @jamesnintendonerd

There's the bugs bunny and tweedy show and now there's teletoon retro

  • Boobs in the Woods

    BOOBS IN THE WOODS?!?! Classic

  • What cartoon was the one with woody woodpecker and the gun to his head

  • guys.. in ny.. looney toons is on every day at 12 o clock on cartoon network,,

  • Animation age ghetto... AVERTED!

    FUCK THE GHETTO!

  • James seriously what is your true job? I'm only curious!

  • @NesGamer105 He gets paid to do avgn reviews.

  • Oh cmon @ 2:39... the jaw-drop is like the funniest part!

  • CartoonNetwork Shows an hour of looneytunes with the same inapropriate content Just like kabillion

  • @UltimateDBZchibi correct @ 12pm :D

  • I know in '95 they went back and remastered a lot of these cartoons, but in the process censored them, taking out racist or ultra-violent bits. You can still occasionally come across unedited ones on TV, and there's always YouTube I guess...

  • i think it because of money, and the lenght of the cartoons, and because childrens now will have some faster editing, and more colourful images.

  • 7:25 James face is the face of getting interrupted and trying to remember the thought.

  • @TheNewsRocket everythin after 7:25, goes ON and ON with this other guy talking and talking and interrupting james... let james talk geez

  • @theHKsinger thats why hes motherfucker mike

  • Where dose the sound come from on a 16 mm

  • @matthewisadamon I think it's the rotating film hitting something. I could be wrong.

  • i used to watch these cartoons in the early 70s on tv

  • After looking online there are loads of dvds with the original looney toons episodes. However, i'm not sure if they truely are 'original' or if scenes have been taken out etc.

  • I remember Looney Tunes, i used to watch it when i was 5 years old or so. They dont make cartoons with that quality anymore.

  • I love nostalgia, but I also kinda hate it causes people to act like jackasses like, "Oh the stuff on CN is crap compared to this and blah blah blah"

Well who the hell are you to talk down on CN?! Have you even seen the new cartoons? Many of the new shows are really good. Especially MAD. Watch that

  • @ECL28E MAD is one of the 3 good new shows on CN, the rest suck, i'd say CN started to run out of good ideas in late 2009

  • @narfire214 Are the other 2 Regular Show and Symbionic Titans

  • @ECL28E no, symbionic titans is a decent show, i'll give it that, but regular show just doesn't cut it for me, but this is just opinion

  • @narfire214 but regular show is funny and has a crap load of 80's references that make it nostalgic

  • they showed these cartoons to me when i was youn in my countryg, so like 5-10 years ago, yeah im still young, but still i loved those flicks.

  • When can you do a review about Bugs Bunny Lost in Time?

  • i hate how on cartoon network some of the stuff they show is not cartoons

  • @zeldaman535 Thats BUUULLLSHIITTT!

  • I agree that these "old school" cartoons are great and timeless classics but I'm not sure I'd go so far as to collect them on 16 mm film. They're a hassle to store and to view in that format.

Glad you whipper-snappers like them. I thought the Warner Brothers Looney Tunes were great when I first saw them in the threatre 50 years ago. You ought to have seen them then in that venue. I'll let you in on a secret though. The WB cartoons are usually edited now before broadcast on TV..

  • The 3D kills the cartoons now there are no movie or series who doesnt have 3D

Even the remake of the old cartoons are in 3D now

  • @matitias1 Simpsons and Winnie the pooh are 2D

  • @ECL28E

yeah but have a little of 3D too not much but a little

  • Hand puppets!

  • What kind of dork clicks dislike on this video?!

  • @HealingPrimRose Haters dislike this video

  • Yea, there is more to do then sit around and watch old cartoons, you can watch people watching cartoons on the internet

  • I give credit to people who make new cartoons. But compared to looney toons, they are shit!!!

  • PLS MORE 16mm CARTOONS !!!!

  • I'm not sure if it was this part, but cartoon network shows pokemon which is nintendo's

  • I saw an awesome roadrunner cartoon during the previews to yogi bear

  • i remember watching that first cartoon with porky and donald when i was a kid on cartoon network and im 19

  • These old cartoons are prime candidates for HD (or better) releases. Take the original film, scan it at the highest possible resolution with the highest possible dynamic range and release it unedited and uncensored.

  • they still show roadrunner on boomerang

  • Boomerang is awesome. They show all these old cartoons, Looney toons, Tom and Jerry, pink panther and other stuff.

  • saturday mornings were the bomb back when I was growing up, TMNT, Woody Woodpecker, Bugs Bunny.

  • The begining music is the same as CGRnews.

  • I live in Canada and Teletoon and Teletoon retro always play these shows

  • O rly I saw a road runner cartoon( animation) at the movies before Yogi Bear

  • Has anyone seen the shit 3D Garfield cartoons? They have defiled that great cartoon that I loved.

  • @rcroxyosox1 Those cartoons sucked ass! or maybe it was tthat stupid farm animal cartoon that always came on afterthem that I hated...

  • I'm a kid from the twenty first century and i love these cartoons, i watch them any chance i get!

  • @Legoghost14 From the 21st century...so you're about 10?

  • @NadTheBat no 14

  • @Legoghost14 Well do the math kid, if you're 14, and the 21st century began in the year 2000, you obviously are not a kid from the 21st century.

  • @NadTheBat i'm growing up in the 21rst century

  • It costs more money to re-air these classics than to produce and air a new cartoon.

  • I think our future is going to be like Demolition Man. Seriously.

Next thing you know I'll be walking out of class and hearing "be well!"

  • Man, now dsney channel put a narrator on old cartoons describing and explaining what and why things are happening, things like this will make kids dumber as they dont need to think anymore

  • Is that James's brother?

  • @FreedumbFighter28 its his friend

  • @jakeyray18 <---Thanx, new around these parts.Dont know who is who....and its never explained

  • Four Words: Looney Tunes Golden Collection

  • in aus theres a channel called go! and in the morning from 1:00 to 8:00 theres old cartoons its fuckin awsome

  • 3:20 Did he really HAVE to run into that fake tunnel? xD

  • well in sweden there is channel that still airs these old shows thank god for that channel all these shows are pieses of animated history i love them

  • im 14 and i LOVE all those cartoons, fuck spongebob!

  • I'm only 13 and I'm a big fan of road runner and I think daffy duck is funny. I only found out about them in 2009 when I found my dads projector in the attic. I hate setting it all up but it's worth it in the end. Just thought u might wanna know that people of the first world countries that have it. I feel sorry for the second and third world countries that don't get them due to lack of money or relationships with other countries. In a nut shell I prefer classics to modern cartoons.

  • on a fairly odd parents movie they made a joke about how the old cartoons would show easily imitatable violence and whenever something violent would happen someone would jump infront of it and say how you can't see that on tv anymore... i dont know what my point is but it's there so...

  • cartoons !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this stuff is still on! channel name: teletoon retro. I love watching these even now just so ya know guys!

  • this stuff is still on! channel name: teletoon retro. I love watching these even now just so ya know guys!

  • I rarely watch TV nowadays, especially the modern cartoons. if they only showed those old cartoons again... ah Roadrunner, where are you now?

  • He actually appears to be a nice guy. Why does he act like an ass in his video game reviews?

  • @Pagweb Just a character probably.

  • @Pagweb

    few reasons why.

    1) the games he plays are that bad

    2) an easily recognizable personality that contrasts other game reviews

    3) tell me, which one is better: "Oh yeah this game is bad" or "THIS GAME IS SH*T-COVERED MONKEY BALLS BEING STUFFED INTO A WATER BUFFALO'S ASS IN WHICH HE PUKES IT OUT OF HIS MOUTH, EATS IT AGAIN, AND THEN POOPS IT OUT IN THE FORM OF DIARRHEA!"

  • Cartoons nowadays are gay as shit. Fan boy and chum chum bullshit, and that Adventure Time gay shit. I like Tom and Jerry and Flintstones and im only 12.

  • I still watch "Boomerang" sometimes :D

  • tom and jerry was my fav show

  • The old cartoons will always be the king of any other cartoon made.

  • I actually remember the time when Cartoon Network didn't show anything but Hanna-Barbera, Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry cartoons. Those were good days. To me that was the only good reason to have that channel.

  • Loony Tunes: 70 years and still destroying!

  • There's a channel called boomarang (yes, in the US.) that shows these

  • @YmamAx3 not really...i'm from romania and i have this channel :)

  • Not sure bout the states but in canada we have a teletoon channel with all of the classics

  • All those clasics are stop showing them even in usa??? why on earth they do that?! this is some of the greatest american legasy and still even in your television they stop show them! to only pass us some newer crappy stuff.I realy hate that what can i say........i hate the newest grafic style movie toons.

  • 8:29 = I think it's because they think thats bad for kids. Why is Dora the Explorer and Mickeys Cub house maybe the biggest now? Because its Crap... Tom&Jerry, Looney Tunes and Woody was the best!

  • i just noticed in the road runner cartoon, why is the road going into the wall?

  • @twoclearbullets that's cool, in America they can't show those cartoons on a major network because they aren't appropriate to some extent.

  • 4:30, "When you say 'boob', obviously you're thinking of, like, a tit." HAH!

  • actually here in ireland there still shown on tv including the ones with the smoking and the guns and so on

  • huh is there a part 4, it immediately end and there u go 0.o

  • @A2Assassin His brother? Who's that?

  • I'm 15 years old and my friends consider me "old" because I don't like CGI and new movies and stuff because I like old stuff.

  • @TheLonelyForce, tell "your friends" to shut the fuck up and to go suck their CGI movies

  • @Lucap1000

    I already have.

  • @TheLonelyForce same with me and im 15 as well

  • @TheLonelyForce You must be a pretty low class male to be made fun of for liking old shitty cartoons lol

  • @Pawnbroker00

I said they consider me old, I never said they made fun of me.

  • @Pawnbroker00

And don't call them shitty you dumbfuck. They're the reason why you had cartoons as a child.

  • @TheLonelyForce Well, not all CGI looks bad, it just depends on who operates it, such as in the Spider-Man movies, but the majority of the time it IS bad.

  • @TheLonelyForce holy crap i am in the same boat! same age!

  • @A2Assasin it's not his brother.

  • Boobs in the woodsXD

  • Woody Woodpecker's the new Sweeney Todd

  • if your a historian some cartoons make refrences from somthing at the time like v for victory in barber of seville

  • There's actually a logical (cartoon logic, of course) explanation to the coyote's tunnel gag: Roadrunner doesn't know that it's a painting, so he goes right through Same effect when Coyote tries it

  • Woody Wood-Pecker...

    Sweeney's Todd's old pet bird.

My dad has two Looney Toons DVD's, thus introducing my brother to them- Twelve years after he's born!

My boyfriend and I are even making fun of cartoons today. Like Avatar TLAB, I can tell that the creator wants some blood and death, but of course, Nick won't let them, so I would dub for the characters.

"I want to kill you but that would make me as low as you because you killed my mom.

In other words, Nick won't let me and that's just BS."

  • Actually, my friend's six-year-old sister watches stuff like this all the time. She has lots of hand-me-down VHS tapes and her dad puts cartoons on their Netflix queue. Looney Tunes is always listed in the "kids and family" section for streaming. So, with stuff like Netflix, you can't say older cartoons are completely lost on a generation.

  • Cartoon Network doesn't air these anymore because it doesn't have to pay royalty fees with its original shows

  • James looks pissed at 9:05

  • These cartoons aren't on tv because people don't care about quality anymore.

  • Your discussion about these cartoons are so True! Great Stuff

  • @ULTIMATECOOLDUDE1234, the U.S.A. Has a similar channel called Boomerang, it plays looney tunes, popeye, scooby-doo, all the old cartoons.

  • @JamesNintendoNerd, something pretty cool nowadays is that they're starting to bring back the "pre-movie" cartoons, when I went to see Cats And Dogs 2, it showed a new C.G.I. Roadrunner cartoon, and I thought it was awesome, let's hope they start it up again hmm?

  • Why does that stupid Coyote keep buying stuff from ACME when their stuff never works? I hope he got his money back or at least a trade-in for all the defective crap he received from them.

  • you guys really gotta move to canada, cause we've got this channel thats called Teletoon Retro and its so fucking cool, Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show's on like 5 times a day, Reboot, Huckle Berry, Yogi Bear, and a shitton of others

  • @ULTIMATECOOLDUDE1234 move to an entire new country for some nostalgia?

  • Looney toons is great, I wish there was a part 4. by the way I remember a disney cartoon with donald duck it from when i was a kid but can't remeber the title, I remember Donald getting a haircut from a automated barber/robot thing. it was fucking hilarious. He paid for it with a nickel or quarter or whatever the fuck and the coin was attached to a string so he could retrieve it, the thing kicked on and it was a total mess from start to finish. Do you know the name of this cartoon?

  • @manikmista665plus1

    Modern Inventions

  • The very first cartoon shown on Cartoon Network was a Bugs Bunny ...cartoon...called Rhapsody Rabbit. October 1, 1992

  • I'm now 17 and when I was young a lot of hanna barbera cartoons were still on CN. And they are the things that I now missed on television.

That's one of the biggest reasons that I not enjoying to watch television then when I was young.

    Because Nostalgia is glamorous XD

  • Cartoon network really fucked it up by not airing these old cartoons anymore. I remember watch cartoons like Popeye the sailor man, Tom and Jerry, Road Runner, and Loony Tunes shows. And they're still ten times better than any cartoons being aired these days like that piece of sh*t Ben 10. The only cartoon that come close to old ones are The Simpsons and Family Guy, I agree that you need to aware of what's happening around the world to keep up with comedy in those two cartoons but its funny.

  • Woody woodpecker used to be on TV for around 4 hours everyday on one channel but they cancelled it for some reason and it made me so sad :(

  • Man I'm glad I was alive to see the final years of these, I still remember early morning watching some of these, not enjoying all of them but the classics.

  • When I grew up(b.1993), Cartoon Network shut down between 20.00 and 06.00 and the last show that was on was Loony Toons, freaking great! And Boomerang is mostly a "Classic" channel, showing such great show as : Loony Toons, Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry, Flintstones and more, still watch that channel fro time to time

  • on every futurama episode the show an old cartoon, of which is pretty nice and nostalgic.

  • Can someone please tell me the name of the song used in the intro?

  • How do you get audio? It can't be from just the film?

  • When you see Boob you think of a Tit XD HAHAHAH. WHen boob used to mean some1 silly or acting sillyl

  • @xxsergio59xx Yeah.

  • I would watch cartoons, but all the networks have sold out to some shitty ass stupid cartoons that make no sense.

  • The reason they don't show these cartoons anymore is because the fucking companies are trying to make everything educational.I used to watch the original Winnie the Pooh on T.V it was a great show.Nowadays the winnie the pooh cartoons are all bullshit 3-D and a bunch of life lessons. No fun.Its total bullshit.Back then it was fun.Nowadays ITS ASS!

  • @TheGta4champion remember the winnie the pooh where they had the epic train race?

  • @benjistoll and remember when pooh disguised him self as a bee and had christopher robin tie him to a baloon to get the honey that was classic

  • @benjistoll FUCK YEA

  • @benjistoll FUCK YEA.

  • @TheGta4champion Basicly in my mind Cartoonnetwork went ot hell

  • @Donaldcomic So true. They used to be fun.Now its a bunch of live action shit.Even Disney used to be great.I watched a Disney move in class from the 80's today, it had swearing, guns, violence, and it taught a great life lesson.Today's Disney would never allow something like that.

  • @TheGta4champion very true same with Mickey Mouse they have him in 3-D and its all learning.

  • @TheGta4champion, yeah, i mean, where's the fun in an educational cartoon? Don't you learn life lesson by yourself? We don't need stupid cartoons, another one is the 3-d Mickey Mouse cartoon, it's just retarded.

  • @TheGta4champion what about half of those wierd ass cash in crap

or all the fucked up boring crap that noone liikes

seriously whats with al the shows about indian people

    with annoying parents WTF?

btw Road Runner in HD FTW yes its real

  • T.V is garbage nowa' days, they took away culture from T.V thats why I hardly watch it anymore, and when I do it's CC or HI, and for cartoon network, they suck, hard.. they use to have this thing called the "toonami block" there was an robot host named TOM he was a bamf, needless to say, and it took some Japanese cartoons and played them from 7 to 11 on saturday night, needless to say, it was my favourite.. it was taken off the air and replaced with real life tv shows, way to sell out.. eh?

  • Uhhh in canada, idk about the U.S.A but here in canada we have teletoon retro and it just shows old cartoons and theres the bugs bunny and tweety show where its just looney tunes carecters

  • @TheOriginalMattster the equivalent of that in England is boomerang

  • I wish i had friends like James and Mike. Where we would just watch old cartoons and comment on em and talk to ourselves. My friends, would just ride bikes and be athletic but i am a slacker. This would be fun if i did this with my friend. Watch old cartoons on my living room flat screen and just slack. Good job mike and james!

  • Boobs in the woods? WTF?!

  • Actualy they still air here in canada they even have they're own channel with 24/7 old cartoons no jokes

  • omg woody wood pecker is scary...

  • i like woody woodpecker but i only saw like 2 or 3 episodes

  • Love this shit right here.

Was gonna play som modern warfare II, then i thought I wanted to see something on youtube first, then i rembemberd this guy (JNN) and I watched his classic video bout' bugs bunny's blowout, and now I'am again a big fan of him. I watch every video he has ever made and everyone is so hilarous. Just brilliant!

  • I dont see why I should watch TV when you post such epic videos! :D

  • 5:23 fucking epic

  • "It's a shame these cartoons aren't on anymore."

I could not possibly agree more.

  • I MISS TOONAMI SOOO MUCH!!

  • @dabillya Anime has nothing on American Animation, bro.

  • @eathenicus

    Old american animation...MAYBE.

  • when i was watching this i was watch tom & jerry

  • Cool, I remember watching Looney Tunes when I was a little toddler... XD

  • @vincent6445 Goddammit, I was going to say that! haha

  • @Doyledeth hehehehehe........"BOOBS" In The Woods!!!!

  • Woody Woodpecker:

    "Pretty women

    fascinating

    sipping coffee

    dancing, pretty women

    are a wonder.

    pretty women..."

  • Damn Woody the Woodpecker's fucking Sweeny Todd

  • Spongebob. is alot like these old cartoons, its colorful for the kids, but the jokes are for us, the adults, i have done extended studies of cartoons from yesteryear, and cartoons from today, and have learned alot. and spongebob is the only g rated cartoon, with pg13 jokes

  • @djdragoneyes Yeah, but the old episodes rule, the new ones are kinda lame, I mean I think that Spongebob is awesome, its just they are kinda running outta jokes.

  • @kevinmarquez19

I agree with you. Though I wonder, are they really running out of jokes, or just appealing more and more to the younger audience? Maybe it is time to give the show a rest.

  • @Ironfruit Never thought about it that way, I suppose, but Spongebob did have a good run and made me laugh. It was nice watching TV, you know?, waiting until Friday for new episodes of Dexter, PPGs, and others, then after that they had the greatest thing...EVER! TOONAMI! But it was pretty sad when Toonami ended, and the other tv stations are really bad now. But like I said, just enjoy these cartoons before that nostalgic feeling kicks in again.
