How did I get here?! Oh, from Lou Christy- Twyla Herbert-E.S. (via Wikipedia.)The only thing I
could remember that compares with this, is that number from "Ghost World" The Indonesian (Malaysian?)singer and dancers. Both that & this are just out there wild. Never heard of this until a few minutes ago.Thanx 4 posting. P.S. Twyla Herbert seems to have been a remarkable woman.
I hate to say it, BUT, shoplifted this 45 when I was 11 and it still turns me on. I guess if you're born with that wild vibe, it never ends. 61 now and I can tell you, it never ends. I still feel the same way. By the way, don't shoplift anymore.
The background clip is some raw footage of a rehearsal of a dance or acting class, filmed sometime in the early 1960s. I downloaded it, about 2 years ago, from a website where people could post copies of their old home movies or whatnot. The website no longer exists - in fact, it's plain dead, because the owner stopped paying his web hosting fees. I don't know who the dancing kids are, or even where they're from - but they're real cool, daddio.

What the hell's up with this version? All the grunts and squeels in the chorus are muted. It usually sounds way better/crazier.

"Some people in the music biz say that this is the greatest "girl group" song of the entire 1960s", and it's true. It's almost punky.
