  • it is killing me.

  • That introductory chant isn't the plainsong setting of the Gloria that is supposed to go with the Missa Papae Marcelli Gloria...

  • lol music appreciation brahs

  • im the only nerd listening to this because i want to learn about classical? <3

  • beautiful! I have to write a research paper on Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina for my choir class in seventh grade! I really love the voices, they are so amazing

  • Everyone has different tastes. All because someone doesn't like the music you enjoy, it doesn't mean that they have 'no appreciation for music.' Insulting other music groups is doing exactly what the person who insulted this piece of music did, and if you didn't like that, you don't need to repeat the action.

  • Thumbs up if studying music theory has relieved you from the tired polemics of high-low music.

  • Thumbs up if the only reason you listened to this was for music class and now you're listening to it again even though you don't have to.

  • Thumbs up if the only reason you listened to this was for music class

  • @seanval0770 Amen

  • @ACguyy Oh you have no idea. I could come up with some that are a million times worse.

  • @ACguyy You have absolutely NO appreciation for music. The only reason I'm listening to this, is for my music appreciation class, but this is still beautiful. I'm sorry that your vision has been clouded by Black Eyed Peas, Lil Wayne, Eminem, and Justin Bieber....

  • bringst3hgrind Many thanks from Lima, Perú. If I'm not wrong, this version is sung by the Oxford Camerata, conducted by Jeremy Summerly, isn't it? For me this is perharps the "Definitive" version of this masterwork. Thre is an excellent book, "Counterpoint", by Knud Jeppesen, which teaches how to write melodies (conduction of voices) in the style of Palestrina. I recommend that book, if you are a musician. Thanks again.

  • Beautiful rendition. Sang this with a group in San Francisco over 30 years ago-- was nice to hear it again.

  • slow your mind, and open it to the Music.

  • Wake me up when they're done.

  • One heck of an "amen."
