no it´s not necessary, you just press + and - button and you go to a "pause" screen, where you can quit whenever you want and go back to select level screen

In my oppinion Jeff(who kicks alot of ass) probably gave Zelda an 8.8 because he wants to rate it high on the GameCube. the original Twilight Princess console.
