  • @xxLimbo85xx Slim Shady?

  • best ringtone ever.

  • 2 people got stuck in Limbo.

  • That's why Crysis 2's music is so EPIC!

  • Have you noticed that this is the song " Non, Je ne regrette rien" in slow motion?

That's because in dreams, time goes slowly! Noland is a genius !!

  • @coliter and Hans Zimmer too for taking the time and trouble to replicate the slowed-down version with real instruments to make it non-obvious.

  • Reminds me of Dark Knight

  • @JrocDaBx It's because the guy who made the score (music) of Inception also did the score for Dark Knight

  • HAHHA! Emma Page!

    It's Ellen.

  • there aren't many movies like this because stupid people don't understand them. Let me tell you, there are a lot of dumb asses out there

  • @CoolDogJohn Grammar Nazis United!

  • @The4PersonVideos I hope that you're not saying that facetiously.

  • Your waiting for a train...

  • @Asdferfjg I know I sound like a grammar Nazi, but for the love of God, if you're gonna quote that, at least use the proper "You're".

  • this movie will be remembered for generations. such a confusing movie but EXCELLENT.

  • @xMrsGontierx yeah, at the end when the van fell of the cliff i was like, wait how the hell will they get out? and then i was like OH SNAP!

  • @gem2000000 hahaah! me too xD

  • You know, suddenly I can only remember my dreams halfway after seeing this movie. D:

  • Mal disliked this video.

  • is it just me or is zimmer writing shorter pieces? because i coulda sworn dead man's chest had way longer tracks.

  • That one person who hated this video has just shown up in the news.. he committed suicide because he could no longer lie to himself.. that this was THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE!!

  • BUM BUM!

  • 0 people hated this video !!!!!!!

  • @MrAlexandreJuby not anymore :(

  • @MrAlexandreJuby someone disliked it just to prove you wrong :( (not me)

  • This was made by Hans Zimmer? Mindfuck

  • This song makes me think of all the bad things i have done in the past.

  • @grandtheftauto4123 Spend 20 bucks on sending 5 txt messages fuck FIDO

  • There is something about the song....that makes me feel very sad....and depressed....it really hurts my mind.....i don't know what it is....it....makes me feel confused and lost....alone..........

  • I've got chills!

  • first vid ive seen without dislikes

  • @xXdontdeletemeXx damnit...... 2 dislikes

  • this is the first video on youtube i have seen with no dislike

  • I LOVE THIS SONG. : )

  • ------> Is furiously masturbateing

  • best opening ever

  • THANK YOU HANZ

  • This shit was crazy in the theaters

  • only hans zimmer could remix a legendary classical and for people not to get offended

  • glorious!!!!

  • this is more than a piece of music

non je ne regrette rien the song played through the headphones is played at normal speed in the dream world theyd hear it alot slower and thats what theyd hear play the song now ull see its the same brass beat

it signifies that we're in a dream its also why in the final chapter when that guy plays the song to the guy it plays soft then hard like "duh duh duh duh DUHHHH DUHHHHHHH"

  • "Cobb... a man from a half-remembered dream... he was possessed of some... radical notions..."

  • @davisstdude

    *Cobb stares at Saito*

"What's the most resilient parasite ? ..." *We see Cobb drinking wine with a completely different dress, and then we're just like "WTF ??!!"*

  • @ShadowwDrizzt Haha, nice.

My notion is that the entire movie is sort of a flashback as Cobb retells his tale to Saito, jogging his memory. (Just a thought. xD)

  • To show just how EPIC this song is that the title is half rembered dream and the fact that this song is just Time Interupted in the middle by the begging of Non, Je Regrette Rien slowed down makes this a half rembered dream...

  • Music really gets you into it. Almost too easily. I shed tears at the point in the movie where you see Mal jump at the very end of the movie. The music and the timing really brings that out. I know a few friends who did the same and they never cry.

  • When i heard this at the beginning of the movie... i knew it was going to be worth the money and wait :-D

  • Our hopes for a good movie was only a Half Remembered Dream. We built our own World of movies we like, although our Dream was Collapsing. It was a Radical Notion that something good would come out. Our Old Souls were craving this movie. After 528491 crap movies, we felt something coming, nothing cliche like a monster named Mombasa, but it wouldnt take just One Simple Idea. it would take a Dream within a Dream. We were Wating for a Train. The Paradox was only a matter of Time and it was Inception

  • @yankedup WTH? that is pretty smooth!! :D Your my new hero!

  • @yankedup kudos Yank! Very nice

  • @yankedup Dude, It take you a while to do the didn't. Fucking awesome.

  • @kiatiming101 meh i was bored, haha

  • @yankedup wow that was lame

  • @samsam114 Lots of effort for minimal win.

  • @yankedup wat

  • @yankedup you forgot don't think about elephants.

  • @yankedup Which also produced us to Think About Elephants which were Projections.

  • @yankedup

    Go watch Paprika...

  • Hans zimmer is a beast :D

  • Grats to Zimmer, for making me a fan of the horn frack.

  • Epic!

  • (Warner Bros Pictures - Legendary Pictures - SYNCOPY) . Opening

  • SAITO: Why are you all wet, baby?

  • If you play the beginning of why so serious over this it sounds more epic

  • @J2e5ss No. God. They're two different pieces. And honestly? I don't want to mix my Batman up with my Inception.

  • I love THAT MOVIE, Defenatally the best movie i have ever seen. The music is great, the story is WONDERFUL, the movie is the BEST. I have never seen such thing in my life. Seen it three times at the theater. This MOVIE IS SIMPLY the best one i have ever discoverd and seen, Thanks Christopher Nolan! Make another like this and you'll be the century DIRECTOR!

  • this reminds me of the music from Shutter Island

  • Holy shit hans zimmer you genius! He's invented goose bump music.

  • I remember this theme rattling the entire theater, the floor was literally vibrating.

  • No dislikes.

  • Best film music since Dark Knight..!!

Saw it in a movie room with THX sound system.

    Simply epic!!

  • ''Oh non je ne regrette rien'' ''THATS THE KICK! GET READY!''

  • I like the music and the film

  • @bebotx511 BBBBRRRMMMMMMMMM BBBBRRRMMMMMMMMM

  • this dream maybe half remembered but you will always remember it. once you have an idea or a memory, it is stuck in your subconscious mind; worse than a bacterial infection you could ever dream of. this dream is half remembered because you cannot wake up from the dream, history will repeat itself as well as the dream. no wonder you can't wake up. it'll always be half remembered until you fully remember the grasp to change it.

  • Christopher Nolan is the brain of inception.

    Hanz Zimmer is the heart.

Leo DiCaprio, Emma Page, Ken Watanabe and the rest of the cast are the lungs through which it can breath

  • @mclovin779

    Nicely said ;)

  • @mclovin779 Then the brain much be damaged. Because the plot was so damn sad... The simple idea was so fake and sad to see, it made me cry, that such good actors and soundtrack had to keep over water.

  • @mclovin779 her name is ellen page

  • @mclovin779 its ellen page btw and if you're gonna mention great actors then you are a moron not to mention Joseph Gordon-Levitt cus he totaly stole the show with his awesome performance

  • @louisehutereau Marion Cotillard for me, was the best actor/actress in the film. She had a very difficult role to play and played it incredibly well! She was totally convincing! I do also believe the Joseph was awesome too and Tom Hardy. Those three and maybe Cillian Murphy were the only actors/actresses who blew me away with their performances.

  • Silver Warner Bros. logo, with 0:00 to 0:09

Legendary Pictures logo, 010 to 0:22

    SYNCOPY logo, 0:23 to 0:28

then BLACKNESS...the BRRRM BRRRM growing louder and louder until it's unbearable and it feels like the entire theater is about to explode or something, and SUDDENLY--water.

    a film experience almost indescribable.

  • Je ne regrette rieen...

  • BBBBBRRRRRRRMMMMMM

  • @TropeTan BBBBRRRMMMMMMMMM

  • i thought i walked into shutter island for a second when i heard this

  • I Love the sound of WOMMM WOMMM of 0:20 to 0:39

  • This was such a fucking amazing movie. Honestly it sucks that I will only be able to see it in theaters a few times out of the many times I will watch this amazing film

  • leo looks like agent smith from behind on this picture

  • @StEviL616 ha ha .. looking at the picture .. you can almost visualize him turning around and saying .. " Mr. Anderson..... we missed you " !!

  • @StEviL616 yeah i always think of the matrix instead when i see this picture

  • Prepare to dream a dream that waking does not end!

  • Comment removed

  • the strings sound similar to Shutter Island when they first arrive on the island anyone agree?

  • @MissLanaDawson

    youre right!

i have seen tshutter island half an hour before and i trought

    "heeee,it sounds like inception!"

    :D

  • @GeorginoschkaVincen Lol I thought I was the only one who thought of it

  • @MissLanaDawson :) no,your not alone xD

do you know who made the music from shutter island?

maybe it was the same composer

  • @GeorginoschkaVincen No original score was written for the film. Instead, Scorsese made use of his longtime collaborator Robbie Robertson to create an ensemble of previously recorded material to use in the film. (Wikipedia ;) )

  • @Winduct

    ahaaaaa,thanks for the information :)

  • It is rare that you find a film where the music is as good as the movie itself, even LOTR didn't surpass that status, and that soundtrack was awesome

  • @McDrummerSLR totally agree...Atonement though had a great soundtrack for a movie...it reflected the emotions very well.

  • its amazing the music as the movie does..

I love both, Im gonna dream about it jeje

  • why does the beginning of this song sounds like the beginning of 'Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien'?

  • @981149 Because they just slowed down the beginning to make it sound like the beginning of this song. It's hard to explain but just Youtube " Inception hidden theme music in the kick."

  • @981149: a very interesting comment, as I noticed the same thing after a certain video on youtube brought that to my attention... definitely a very clever move by Zimmer :D

  • i found out that this music score is derived from slowing down the french "kick" song.

Hans Zimmer is a le genius.

  • Wow! The BOOOM BOOOOMS are exciting. In all of the soundtrack you can find it, and is AWESOME. I love Inception and the first time I saw the film, at the end, my face was like: God exist.

    (Sorry for my possible mistakes)

  • wow this was great sex listening to this ahh refreshing

  • 2 songs in one i love it

  • I think this is way better than The Dark Knight ... both the movie and the soundtrack.

  • damn right, 0 dislikes! <3

the movie blew my mind, the first, second, and third time i watched it!

and just when i thought it couldn't get more epic, i bought the Soundtrack. . . this song takes me away everytime as well as all the other tracks. . .it has been two weeks and i still cannot get over this masterpeice of an album. . .everytime i wake up, i listen to a track. . .

  • You remind me of someone... a man I met in a half-remembered dream. He was possessed of some radical notions.

  • Best freaking movie of all time. In all ways.

    No exaggeration. Loveee this.

  • @swimmersgirl

    HELL YEAH!

  • This music is used in then kicks. So its use at the start is a kick for the audience

  • lol play old souls paradox and this track all at the same time from the beginning :P

    soo trippy

  • @pleasedonttellme2

that can´t be a simple COINCIDENCE....

  • i seriously do not know what i love more,

    the film or the music.

both just blow my mind :)

  • @Kymberlyyy well said........very well said.

  • @Kymberlyyy

My honest opinion: The film is unworthy of the score. The movie is magnificent, but the music is god-like.

  • @Kymberlyyy The esteemed, confident swagger of the film or the AGGRESSIVE, INTIMIDATING and THUNDERING authority of the score ...

  • @Kymberlyyy love the music more. The Dark Knight was a better film and you're also here on this youtube page sooooo.....yeeaaaaaa........

  • @Hothmaster i personally think that inception is better than the dark knight, but everyone is different and in regards to been on the youtube page listening to the music, that is true, but i have also seen the movie 5 times!

i am rather obsessed with both!

  • @Kymberlyyy

shit.... thats exactly what i commented 3 weeks ago!!

did you implant that idea in my mind? or did i extract it?

  • @Kymberlyyy The film. And you know it.

  • Ok let me just say, this isn't possible. You can't have an amazing movie like "Inception". You can't have an amazing composer like Hans Zimmer. It's not possible. This is too awesome. So saying that, I think we're all dreaming because both Inception and the score are beyond belief.

  • @TheSoundDepo Omg i know! I found this out mabye a week or so and its so cool!

  • This is no joke. Go on to any youtube video with the NEW video player format and you can play a game of snake. Just pause the video and hold down the left arrow button. A game of snake will appear which you can play while watching the video.

  • lmfao it's actually true xD where'd you find this?

  • @TheSoundDepo lol fag.

  • this sounds just like "the eyeland" from the lost soundtrack

  • brrrroom brrrrom brrrrrom pppppp

     pppppppp ppppppppppppppppppppp

  • Isn't this the best track opening a movie ever?!!?!?! I remember clearly. The track ends at 0:39 and the camera cuts to Leo washing up the shore. Then we see him having that conversation with Saito and the radical notion. Whoa! I'm flashbacking here intensely!

  • @maujo2009 this soundtrack was perfect

  • @maujo2009 i just realized that the ending of this song fits perfectly with the last song. in sequence with the movie! genious!!!!!

  • So incredibly epic and majestic. When you hear the main theme at the very beginning as the 'Legendary' logo comes on the screen, you immediately know you are about to see something special. Then the brass comes in so strong. God, I love Inception, but the score is just as fucking great as the rest of the movie.

  • @whamolayes

Of course it is. It's Hans Zimmer. :)

  • @whamolayes Couldnt agree more

  • @whamolayes You here that melody, in my mind, throughout the entire film.

  • @whamolayes Yes I agree. But one weird thing is though, the way that music comes on at the begining with the 'Legendary' sign is almost identical with the music opening cue for Shutter Island, it also opens on a rocky coast with a stormy sea. There is also a common theme of the mentally ill wife with the two kids.

  • @whamolayes There is also the theme of the farther who can't deal with what has happened to his family so he prefers a dream world, induced intentionally like in this film, or through mental illness like in Shutter Island or K- Pax. As soon as I heard that music cue and saw the opening scene, I knew that the story would be that the protagonists was dreaming, or chooses to stay in the dream. Anyway, did anyone see these parallels?

  • @whamolayes The 'Honk' creeping to intimidate that pants off of the rest of the score.

  • I think this was the opening song of Inception

  • @Nowie5000 no shit it's the first track on the soundtrack

  • @RYNO2511 haha yeah
