Some say that instruments have souls. If that's true, I'd say that one's in bliss. Nice playing sir, and please keep posting more if you find the time. Thanks for sharing.
Great job young man. One of my favorite fiddle tunes ever. MXrider5383, the reason this makes you sad is probably because when the great Carpenter wrote it, he said he was very sad looking back on his old home on the Elk River which he missed dearly. I can play this tune for an hour straight without even thinking about stopping.
Very cool. Your other posts seem so concerned with playing fast, that it's nice to see you kick back, relax, and play this one with steady, mellow feeling. Great job!
for some reason this makes me despressed and happy my grandfathers name was jacob carpenter i know ernie is related to me i dont know if it was my grandfathers father or what though. very well played thank you very much!
I should post a response to it..... is wormy chestnut. It was from a special building in Gatlinburg, over 200 years old! Can you see why she sings so sweetly?!

Awsome dude, having the the capo 3 makes it sound great, another fun thing to try is having capo 4 so you can have the 6.5 fret.
