Billy left the power rangers because they were insulting him with gay jokes. Jason , Kim , Trini , Zack and Tommy who was with him for some seasons respected him

billy left power rangers cause they were doing gay insults to him. that's why he talks to tommy. because since all left the show , tommy was the only one from the old main characters cool with that and always respected him like jason,zack,trini,kim did

Well in the interviews David Yost (Billy) has given he's made it VERY clear and made it a point to say that it was the PRODUCERS and behind-the-scenes crew that liked to make gay jokes and jibes at him.

It seems as if all of his co-stars were very cool with him. It was just the producers and similar parts of the MMPR crew.
