I wouldn't trust David Gates as far as I could kick him. David Gates was banned from talking in any sda congreration or church in Australia. The sda general conference banned him from speaking, and rightly so, David gates teaches a false gospel of legalism and self-righteousness.
If you want to be deceived listen to david gates. But if you want instead to not be deceived and want instead to be saved through the true gospel, then listen to Paul instead and read Galatians 2.
@ammusiconline the bible and spirit of prophecy only mention that Satan has been causing havoc for about 6,000 years and since 7=perfection, then near the close of hitting 7000 years Jesus will come. But we don't how old the earth is to determine the accuracy of the 7000 year theory and Jesus' coming. Unless the spirit of prophecy AND the bible say 'around' 2031, jesus will return the i'll reconsider but the Bible says Mt 25:13.
@Theoizbac Since the scripture makes it quite clear that the world could have ended in the first century, your whole 6,000 year theory is complete garbage, and is not biblical. All this extra stuff from the SOP that cannot be supported by scripture makes you no different to the Mormons and their writings from Joseph Smith.
@Theoizbac pastor Gates is not setting any day, what he says is that the outer limit is 2031, what is pretty acurate according today forecast of many disciplines..
What is teh difference between dissing the Papacy and dissing Bush and Cheney? They were on watch when 9/11 happened. At the least, they seriously dropped the ball. That MUST be addressed as well as how tired the official report of that terrible day is.
Spot on about not being right to leave the church over what someone says. What i wish to make known tho, is that Br. David needs to repent of these things, and turn to preaching the straight truth. BTW, he is wrong to attack govt. officials on rumor-type evidence, like his swipe at Bush and Cheney etc.
i agree with you on that too. He does need to repent because it's causing alot of people to believe what he said like my friend. Though i do believe the 7000 year theory, i do not agree with the "deadline" of Jesus' Second Coming. Though i do understand his postion on govt officials, i guess it's wrong to attack them because of God's 2nd greatest commandmant, "thou shalt love thy neighbour" which consists of God's last 6 commandments.

He posts a date by when Jesus has to come by, which has made 2 of my acquaintances quit attending church, and disses govt. leaders, which the Bible condemns.
i agree with you about picking the date where Jesus has to come by, and i can understand why he attacked the government official because they cause things in the United States to be as it is right now. But your aquaintances were wrong for leaving the church just because someone came by and made a mistake. We don't go to church for other people but rather to hear God's message and have a closer realtionship with him. But not to rely on a pastor or preacher, because they are just men, not God

Why is the Conference so obsessed with numbers??? Where in this video did Pastor Gates attack anyone or set a date for the return of Jesus?

@Theoizbac thats more like giving an estimate. the bible and spirit of prophecy gives us a clear numbers to work with to estimate, not to set a date.
