couldn't agree more on your JB comment.. saw him live in athens 2 years ago.. he was way much better with fenders! he sounds too modern today and uses too much gain etc.. but as far as technique goes he's still one of the bests and most versatile out there
@CDNBOBify Sorry to disappoint you,but I simply didn't want to share this guitar's control layout with the public. All the pickup permutaions are possible, usable and quick.I didn't touch the amp during the video.I just went through the pickup combinations and used the volume pot to highlight the sweet spots. That's all. It's my desert island guitar.
yeah for the tiny terror!!! I've got that thing and I've never been happier with the money I've spent on an amp... I was planning on getting my guitar built pretty soon and I wanted to put a Dimarzio cruiser in the neck and either a nailbomb or the rebel yell in the bridge. But I don't know too much about BK pickups. I'm looking for a whole lot of mids but I don't want the bass to roll off and the top can't be too tinny... any advice?
Wow. Absolutely beautiful looking and sounding instrument. Your taste is outstanding! I've been very, very close to picking up a Tele Black Dove - I love P-90's and really like the tonal versatility of the Black Dove. But there are one or two elements I'm not completely thrilled with. After seeing your vid, I'm going to take another look at Warmoth. Thanks for posting this! Very nice playing too, btw!
No way,I was just noodling.Actually,I was never into Rush and I don't know any of their songs.I do respect them, though.Their reputation is impressive. If I played anything resembling any of their songs, that was pure coincidence.
Yes to all!Every single part on a guitar has a function.Like cooking a great dish:you combine the ingredients based on experience and taste. If something doesn't turn out as expected, you continue tweaking until you reach the result you are happy with. This was my first all Koa guitar and that hardwood has definitely some 'mojo' running through it's grain. The P90's were also chosen very carefully. The hardware and electronics too.
It's solid Koa all the way.Body and neck. The fretboard is Brazilian Rosewood. And yes, there are three P90s with a switching system that allows all seven possible combinations:the usual five (like on a Strat) plus Bridge and Neck and all three at once. The pickups when combined are always in parallel.I'm glad you like the way the guitar sounds.
Cool man, VERY impressed with the sound. Would you say that it sounds good mainly due to the old p90's? Or would you say that the Koa has a good effect on the sound?
Hey man, could you tell me exactly what this guitar is made out of? ie neck material, frettboard, etc, also how many pickups, is it 3 P90s? Is the body solid koa? sounds great and am considering my own warmoth build.

Thank you for your replies, one last question - in your opinion, was it worth having all three P90s?
