how come some of the gymnast have a longer routine then some of the other ones? like waaaay longer?

Well I'm not sure, but i think gymnasts routines can be a maximam of a 1 min. 30 sec. or, as long as they meet all the skill requirments, it can be as short as 40 seconds. But like i said i'm not entirely sure.

Because in the code that was used for this past couple years the gymnasts count their top 10 skills in a routine for their score. So some gymnasts have harder skills and need longer of a routine to put them in. Hopefully this next year the routines will shorten a little since they are counting the top 8 skills instead. Hope that helps!
