  • just tried the octane elliptical at my boyfriend's gym~ amazing. It's time to dump my old nordic track that kills my knees and get one of these. Best workout and my body feels great afterwards.

  • This machine is no joke! It is nothing like the regular elliptical. I love the X endurance option, and doing the squats, the squats are a killer though but my thighs are very toned and lean.

  • does this work off di belly as well

  • @flexable222 yes

  • I like the idea of the adjustable stride length. Neat.

Still, it looks quite ugly and unnecessarily big compared to other ellipticals (the machine dummy, NOT the people using it!)

Talking of which, why do they ALWAYS picture well-defined, good-looking, athletic types who DON'T NEED this stuff, instead of the 'super-blob', 'I'm gonna eat everything' grotesque fatties that we find in REALITY? I think this is reverse discrimination!!! Booo!!

  • What's she smiling at?

She should be sweating like a bastard and looking like she was wanting to do anything else, somewhere else!

  • Just bought one today. Feels nicer than Life Fitness models starting at 50% higher price, and even Life's high-end models which are TIMES more costly! At the same time, durability and stability seems to be great.

  • Also, the arms (handles) on most models of these actually have a cross-over motion, which is a more natural motion for your arms, rather than straight forward and back. You can notice this in the video.
