I lived in Portland in the late 80's and early 90's. Never really liked it over there due to its miserable rainy winters and I had allergies in the summers, but one of the fondest memories I had left with is the two NBA finals runs by the Trail Blazers around that time and the "Blazermania" local fans. Kevin Duckworth was my favorite player on that team, I guess mainly because he always seemed like this quiet, lonely underdog that people liked to pick on. I do mourn his passing.
I had taken pictures of Michael Jordan when he played for the washington wizards against the Blazers. Kevin Duckworth found out that I had taken photos and he took my photos and made a dvd to it. This is the Kevin Duckworth that I will always remember. RIP and Thank You for being a great guy. We will miss you.
I Remember him giving me an autograph when i was 12 at the 92/93 season, even though they loss agains the timberwolves he was one of the few who hanged with the fans after the game. jerome kersey was with him trowing his games shoes to the croud.

Thanks for this great tribute. As a Blazer fan, I'll always remember Duck. He was such a vital part of those exhilarating early 90s teams. His personality and presence helped defined the identity of that unforgettable team. He was such a good one, it's so sad to see him go so young. Rest in peace, "Duck". 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
Piston fan here. My condolences to the Duckworth family and to the Oregon community. Duck was one of my favorite players, he was very underated. It was good to know that he was just as special off the court. RIP big fella'.
thanx for doing this, it was really nice. Duck was one of my best friends, im going to show this to his family tomorrow. We will always love you Duck #00
Hey, I'll admit he wasn't one of my favorite PLAYERS--I remember Bill Laimbeer frustrating him so bad in the Finals series--but he was a GREAT GUY. Saw him at a couple Blazers games last year, and man he was way too big. But ya know, people come in all sizes and on the inside it sounds like was an awesome guy. Anyone who knew him, loved him. God called a good one home.
man, tears just come down when I watch this. You can just see how great this guy was by seeing him in the pics! I can't believe this true gentleman is gone. BLAZERS will play with a little extra something on their side this year!
this is very sad.
