Wouldn't it be great to turn on the TV nowadays and see something as innocent as this? I think it's pretty cool myself, especially the nose bit at 1:00. I do wonder where they are now. This must've been the danish equivalent of Flatt & Scruggs.
@torpedohorst Because their is no commercial market for Danish music. We are only five or six million people who speak Danish - and were many fewer then!
dude, this song by the two danish brothers was a hit 1959 and was quite famous in the US. It was the style of the 50s and your George formby had his song "banjo boy" 1960.
I used to own this 45. On the other side of the 45 there was another good song. Any change you can publish that one too? I think it was called "mach doch nicht so viel wind", or so.
Danish Jan & Kjeld Wennick were only 13 and 15 years old when they hit it big with Banjo Boy in 1959. The coloring looks great for late 50s. The song is very old-fashioned. And yes this is sung in german. Singing kids if from sweden, denmark (one of the guys was born in sweden, the other in denmark), germany or Netherlands were somewhat common back in the 50s and 60s
this is one of the weirdest songs I have heard. im creeped out
