yeah i think it's safe to say that the american colonies breaking away from the mother country was one of the most epic events in human history. it was largely an extension of past English rebellions against various tyrannical kings, i.e. 1215 & 1649, however this one was unique because they were Englishmen from North America rebelling against the King's men, and those same Englishmen invented an entirely new nationality out of their common colonial identity, that being American.

The Revolutionary War ended because the British were more concerned about fighting for and keeping India.

It has always been a fact that the British were supposed to win that War, had they not turned their attention to India.

France and Spain also Dutch, helped America in that War too.

You must understand, that freedom loving people do not like the kind of cultural imperialism the united states carry out.

After WW2 the american way of life was forced upon germany, japan and many other countries. I admit it - that's life - the winners determine what is right.... But understand, that other nations do not welcome your imperialism.

The difference is, West Germany and Japan had their sovereignty restored in short order. The eastern bloc was not given the same courtesy by their Soviet oppressors. Stop drinking the Kool-aid.

I have grown up in the GDR. Eastern Germany preserved more of the german culture than West Germany ever has.

I once thought the same thing, but now I doubt it. A sleeping giant is waking up in America. I think you will see us break this tie we have with China and stand on our own two feet again, probably in the next two election cycles. In another 50 years China won't care about invading us because by then they will be a free country.
