Greetings from Sydney Australia...this cake is Pooh Beautiful :) just love Winnie & I really like the method you use. Great tutorial, thank-you so much for sharing!
Love this cake. I got the urge to play around and do something creative. I was going to do something small but if I find the time this will be it for me. Great JOB!!!
I have made a number of these cakes and have it down to a science now~~~everybody is amazed at how professional (which I am not!) they look. The local party store sells diaper cakes, MUCH less elaborate than mine, costing $149.99!!! Wonder what I could get for one of my creations?? Thanks again for the instructions---they've made me very popular.
i have done so many cakes but i have never done it like this i am opening my own home business and i am deffinitly trying it this way look cheaper lol
Thanks for posting! Before I used the method where you had to roll the diapers and place them inside of a larger rubber that was attached to a bottle, but this is WAY more easier. The store that I went only had one pack of receiving blankets of the color that I wanted, so I just stuffed more diapers into the blankets and it still came out nice. I'm kind of happy the store didn't have more, because I came out cheaper and the cake still looks full!
I luv how easily u created this cake. The instructions were great. I make diaper cakes 2. I enjoy viewing other people's creation, especially to let them know how beautiful is their work:) Nice job!
this is great...so when you did the bottom layer it was with the first roll correct? I saw the bottle for the bottom but what about the second and the third? do you stack the bottles on top of each other? I really like the way this was done....I wanna try it but I wanna make sure I got it right..
Thanks 07, Yes use the larger roll as the bottom and the smaller on top. I use the 8oz bottle on the bottom and the 4 oz bottle on the top but it can be done either way. The 8 oz bottle helps to hold the layers together. Every now and again if the bottle top is rounded I will use a tape loop to keep it together, but the tightness of the roll will hold them in place. Do try one they are beautiful! hope this helps!
I really like this method. I make diaper cakes and I've never seen it done this way before. I'll have to try this and post a response. Thanks for sharing.
I've looked at many, many diaper cake instructional vids~~~yours is by far THE BEST and the one I will be using for my daughter's very first baby, due this summer---a girl! So----I'll be using lots of pink and dollies, won't I? Thank you so much!!!
awesome , I have made a few diaper cakes. Thought they looked good til I took a look at yours. Thank you for sharing how you did it with the blankets, A lot easier than I thought... I wish there was sound though. But I got it... Thanks again will be watchin for ya :)
