I'm not trying to be a hater here but, if you want a high quality camcorder/dslr...go out and buy one! Quite possibly one of the most worthless attachments to your iphone. Ever.
I'd love to know exactly what lens was used! I keep trying telephoto lenses and getting vignetting like crazy - getting tired of returning lenses to the place of purchase. Any specific brand, model or a web link?
lol, I was not kidding... for a little more, there are some handy models working just great. My comment was not intended to flame and so on, I own a wonderful 3GS doing anything I want, and couldn't see such coolness in this product.
It is probably cool for everyone REALLY needing that, not for me, that's all.
You're right, for a little more than $100 you can get a HD camcorder that takes a better to a much better picture. But it won't let you edit or send the video anywhere. For some the quality trade off isn't worth it. For those that need to get the video out on the net right away IMO this is an interesting solution. I see it more as an augmentation to news gathering et al and not a camcorder killer. Valid point though.
in case you didnt notice he said they had a telephoto lens on the iphone in the first video and then he took it off as well as the mic for the second video.
Points for a seriously clever idea. IMO a lot of reporters (indies for their main gear and traditional looking for backup/3rd angle) and those studying journalism that own iPhones will be all over this thing like white on rice. With the GS one could easily shoot and send edited b-roll video (for VO) right from the field. It's looks like a decent product that fills a nice size niche market with a well priced solution. Its not perfect but for a first version it looks impressive. Good luck.

Ok elfranz, you couldn't even buy battery for 99 bucks, good luck with that HD camera.

I think you mean "selective focus" when you say "Depth of Field"

I wish for a mirror on the back so I can shoot myself!

Seems like you should have stood closer when shooting the second video to make it fair.
You were using a wired mic for the first scene so you do in theory "have access" to the set.

My point was: Clearly you can't use the telephoto lens without the mic (as we see in part 2).
I'd really like to see how the sound would have sounded without the microphone while standing closer so the talent filled the screen in the same way.
I'm probably not going to hand someone a corded microphone and stand that far away with the zoom lens.

Since you are a non-iphone using douchebag, you can move on and ignore this video. Buh-bye!

I love your use of irony to call a non-iphone user a douchebag. Very witty.
