first of, i play rb and it's fun. i have the standard drum kit. . . i do play real drums. i have my own drum set that i bought. i moved out of my parents house when i was 19. idk why ur speaking out of ur ass. i never said anything bad about rb or the drummer. . . my original quote was that it's ludacrous to spend so much money on a toy. the origina' drum kit is 80 bucks alone. . to spend more than that is dumb. period.

@arsenalskate123 I have a similar drum setup and you plug them into a drum brain using 1/4 inch mic jacks, it is full compatible with any kind of electronic drum kit amps i would assume, so no, not a waste of money buddy. They made these pads long before rock band and since then have made a brain to make them compatible with rock band drumming.

Fo' rill! What set are you using? I like the "heads". I'm on the ION Drum Rocker, and the rubber heads feel like I lose rebound. I'd love to try those out.

@Originality: I completely agree. I always finger-thumped out beats until RB1 came out. Got the drums, and it was all over. Im still not on a real set (apartment tennants love my electric Alesis set), but I'm all about it. I'll get on a real set with real rebound and have my blast!

Myself, I played real drums for around 3 years before Rock Band 1 came out. Looking back now, a lot of the little techniques and things I've added into my playstyle have been taken from my Rock Band experiences. To see things charted out and play them repeatedly, I would frequently find myself thinking, "hey, that's cool" and months later catch myself using it to better myself.

It's helped me expand on my drum knowledge, and develop my style.

Plus it's fun as balls. No homo.
