Thank you for these series, it gives me so much motivation. I am usually up watching these at 3am when I'm getting thru some struggles in my life. These have defiantly given me motivation to keep pushing.
I've had two Accords and currently have an Odyssey. All have been exceptional cars. I've also had two BMWs. It's amazing how even the simplest things like changing a lightbulb are so much easier on the Hondas. And the Navigation in my Odyssey is SO much easier to operate than the one on the bimmer. I just wish Honda had a V8 option.
I made a bad mistake in 2004 that put me in front of a Pontiac going 55 in a Honda Civic Hybrid. Took it in the driver's door square. I walked away with a slight concussion. Whatever these guys are doing, they are doing it well.
The thing I love about Honda is unlike Toyota, Honda puts a little bit of soul and performance into each car they build.
The very first car ever made by Honda was a sports car, the Honda S500. Since then, a little bit of the S500 lives on in every car Honda has made. I have never driven a Honda vehicle that I didn't like due to its handling or performance relative to its market.
USA has immense parasitic drag of Tort Law at every stage of manufacturing. UK reformed Tort (detriment to progress), which made them non-competitive in the world manufacturing economy. Reform Tort and the USA will eventually return its cost competive labor. Lawyers elected to every level of political power in the USA (now from the TOP down) make this highly unlikely. They will never attack their own system that maintains their power. Japan limits Lawyers power as does the rest of the world.
Owned four Jeeps over the last 45 years. Each lasted less miles than previous. The 2006 Grand Cherokee is costly to maintain at 50,000 miles due to unsustainable, fragile features to enhance sales to techies. Quality deteriorated, 'weight Increased 368 lbs'. Fuel economy REDUCED drastically from the 2001 same model. 4.7 V8 nylon chain tensioners break at less than 150 K miles, engine self destructs. US engineering, limits life of vehicles. Japan engineers longevity. DaFlikkers
I know I know you prolly own a Chevy Dodge or Ford and as I have too! I use to be like you too! in Denial that these cars are more American than the Big three! I have switched to Honda's after My GM which I refer to now as Garbage Motors shit out on me at 112000 miles! Especially with how anal I am on Maintenance! I replaced it with a 97 Acura CL with 129000 miles on it which now has over 200,000 on it and it drives like it is brand new still! all i have done is regular maintenance
Buick is the most popular car in China and we build them in China....is that OK? Companies are global these days.
The US will be able to compete in the coming years when we FINALLY get the quality back into our products at a fair price. Until then I am comfortable buying a Honda product and knowing I am putting an American to work.
Two years ago we all told US makers to build the best hybrid they could.
We told them GREEN was going to be huge and they could ride that wave if they gave us the best.
That was two years ago....
They still sell junk, GM has filed for protection and now the US gov owns two of the big three. They deserve what the get, but the American autoworker does not.
They did not listen....
I bought my first new car in 87, a Civic made in Ohio by American workers. Honda gets it, Detroit does not...
This is a great video, though the whole 'kick out the ladder' concept could seriously backfire :) I think this video is part of a series- I put the whole series on the new Honda blog - hondapedia (.ca)....its really a very empowering series
Very inspiring video. I study Mechanical Engineering and I have a difficult time from time to time and videos like this keep me motivated and focused. Go HONDA!
cslb. i was planning on going there for grad school. do you know if they have a phd program for business? and do you live on or off campus? i was planning on living southeast of campus but i heard i was extremely expensive
DON'T READ THIS! There was a boy named Charlie and he was a smart man. He was killed by an assassain on April 12th, 1975 at the age of 14. If you read this, then tonight while you are sleeping, he will come to your house and go in your heart and stop it from beating, then you know what happens after that. This is was happened to a voice actor at the 4kids company named Maddison Blaustein. If you don't want to end up like Maddie, repost this message to 10 other videos before midnight tonight
Owned a chevy camaro 1 time. Dumped that pile of junk. Ever since then, i have only bought honda. Whole family switched over to Honda. I own a honda element. Love it.

In America, if you kick out the ladder, you will find someone else to blame....
Very few take responsibility for doing more then they have to....

How about some PSA's during racing venues. SPEED KILLS!
Consider that your race car drivers really drive Ferarri's and Lamborghinis....
thety are happy to pimp out Honda's to friends and family though.

With 10+, Honda auto plants in the US, you ARE buying American.

But with the unique Soichiro's passion heritage.

you ARE buying American??
You are buying japanese engineering. Without superior engineering, you end up like ford, chrysler and gm.

@TeleTubeee Camaro's engine is made in mexico, car assembled in canada. Honda is more American than a Chevy former muscle car. Wth man.

It is because of this that you are building the greatest cars in the world. It's amazing what the power of dreams can do.
