  • @ameroffsky oh yes it was intentionally overdone... we were going for 80's pop video and don't forget I'm an opera singer- I don't think we know "subtle" !

  • Nice one Melinda

  • Another hit! Makes me think of Marc Almond and the Jacques Brel songs he recorded.

  • Habibi means darling in Arabic and all the Middle Eastern pop songs are packed full of as many "Habibi's" you could possibly fit into one song!

Habibi we knew how to live, Habibi you knew how to give,

Private jets, Gold lapels, thoroughbreds, drug cartels

A pied a terre in Lowndes square, New Year’s eve round Tony Blair’s

Fifteen private bodyguards, our house not just a house of cards,

Oh I long for those days, those millions we made

    Smuggling ammunition and embezzling aid.....

  • @butterflyhugsopera

Hysterical, if a bit overdone at times. The theme "Where Have All the Despots Gone" Reminds me of "Where Have All the Flowers Gone", once sung by Marlene Dietrich, among others.

  • Superb!

  • OH YEAH ! Love the Dictator getting down to Johnny Cash!

    Lyrics please !!

  • Brilliant!! Funny, well cut, well shot, very well performed and sung!

  • FAN, BLOODY-TASTIC!!

Great singing, not too badly shot, (though I say so myself!), and very nicely edited.

Well done Melinda, another triumph, great song!!

    Very, very funny.
