I can tell you it is an awesome sight - a number of years ago there was a car dump that the public could VISIT (and get car parts free from) - every few months the car bailer would visit and it was interesting seeing a vehicle being compacted to a brick - I was there for HOURS once just looking at the procedure!
Pretty much all scrapyards accross the UK have them. Just find a yard you remove parts yourself and they will always be bailing them onsite. Well the yards I have got my Metro parts they are anyway.
