@qleelnasta No it won't let you do that. You can't pull up contacts or dial number from the head unit.

@r4sk4 yeah with the Pioneer ipod cable you can watch youtube videos on the screen, just play video off your iphone and then go to youtube and it will show it.

hey got one last question for ya, when you have you idevice hooked up, is the album art clear or does it look pixelated, and if its clear what size album art are you using because im assuming that itunes resizes it but i cant figure out how to get my images clear on the hu

@umgixxer it is boxy and pixilated on the iDevices. I think it's just a bug on them. I haven't tried a iPod classic but I've heard it shows a nice cover art.

Hey guys my cover art was pixelated on my 4200 when using iphone. after updating to IOS4 it fixed that. not sure if somebody has posted or seen this yet but thought id put it out there....

@xmdude626 have you ever seen/heard of an issue with these units that causes all input devices to not work except am/fm radio? i cannot replicate the issue but sometimes when i remote start my truck i get errors (disc read error for cd, "stop" message when trying sd card, and "no device found" when iphone is plugged in). if i turn off truck and restart everything works fine and dandy. might put up a video of it see if anyone has seen it

@xmdude626 Just connected my iPhone 4 with 4.1 firmware, and the art is finally showing OK :) However, now I have an entirely new issue. The player almost never shows the covers, unless I click on the icon where they should be (activating the Link Search function). As soon as I do that, the cover shows up. Very weird behaviour.

Are you using just the data cable hooked into the usb cable. I just hooked my data cable up and it works fine but it doesnt show the album art like yours but I am also using a 3G not a 3GS.

Just using a regular 30-pin sync cable. For some reason though when I play videos, it doesn't show the video, only a black screen and sound.

its happening because the avh series need a sertian cable to run the video in the head unit other wise it just transfers sound

CD-IU50V it transfers vid and music to the head unit you have to use the aux in (the little headphone jack on the back) and the USB port

Yeah I see the cable on the Pioneer site. There is also a longer one from Pioneer CD-IU200V for those head units that have the plugs in the back.

Does that little 3.5mm carry the video?
