Just watched this one for probably the 10th time lol. If you find the time, I would really enjoy details on what you use for trees and how you attach them to your layout - especially where there is hardened geodesic foam. Looking for to seeing how you made your camera car! Thanks Eric :)

Hey Eric, do you glue in the ballast, or just lay them down? Because I'm soon to be creating a layout, and I did, but I don't know how to secure the ballast all the way down. Thanks.

have you ever had a train d rail in part of the tunnel that you could not reach

@keith644 No. There are some spots in tunnels where it's difficult to reach the train, but it's not impossible. I haven't had any problems like that.

If you are thinking about adding an Amtrak train to your layout, you should include some stations for the train to travel to & from. Since you've got freight trains, the Amtrak train might have a delay.

@Trainmaster189 That's why I don't usually run passenger trains. It's a freight layout.

What year were the blue well cars with bulkheads seen at 1:37 made? I like them a lot. They are behind the Mohawk and PanAm box cars.

@SoaprSVT I did a video on how I made my tunnels a month or so ago. I'm making another video on how I do my scenery around the tunnels (hillsides and so forth)

@SoaprSVT Yeah, I have that MTH engine. It's nice. Keep in mind that the picture in the the Lionel catalog is just a painting, so I'm betting the final product will look pretty sharp.

Sounds like your running the Hybrid, Eric! I know I will be thrilled when I'm done ballasting mine, so I know you must be pretty happy to get that over with...lol. Layout is looking great, bro! I myself haven't been in the basement with mine since it got warm (yard work, landscaping, pool, you name it!), so I know what you mean about lack of time.

@esiegel76 The shame about that engine is that they didn't put the logo on the sides of the engine. To me, its a RED engine and unfortunately found no reason to order it.

@esiegel76 perhaps it is petty of me, but if you goto MTH's 2008, vol. 1 catalog, look on page 101. I feel the logo is what made that engine look so good. I saw the UP engine in person, and they are HUGE!

@Broncort1 The Gold Beaver on the Sheild Logo is on other Canadian Pacific Railway Diesel Locomotives. The CP did not apply it on everything.

Enjoy seeing your videos even though I haven't had time to continue working on the layout for my son and I and he asks every time he see's it. Being in the military I just got posted 1700kms across canada, bought my first house and that has eaten up alot of my time. I did create my tables in small 5x5 foot sections that allow for easy pull away when we have to move. I was just wondering Siegel doesn't your better half ever get upset with your layout taking up so much space?
