I first heard of Anna Gaskell while working at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami....I wish I met her. She is my favourite photographer now.

Anna Gaskell is an amazing producer. I was in her documentary that she filmed this last August and it was the most amazing experience I've ever had. She is just so, unique and original and just pulls it all together! She's so sweet, and I would love to do work with her again.

I was in her series override when I was 14. My friend Beth and her sister and I and a couple other girls. The picture of the girl looking towards the back of another girl is my friend beth. I just decided today to see if anything ever came of those pictures and here I find out she's in the damn guggenheim museum and on the cover of a book! She took the pictures of us by her cabin on Lake Vermillion in MN that summer.

I'm happy Anna is having the success she is. We were went to the same high school together and attended a few of the same art classes as well. She fashioned a birthday card out of construction paper for me back then and hoped to get her to resign it during one of her exhibits a couple years ago. Unfortunately she couldn't make her appearance. Oh well. Next time.
