Do you think a middle-aged white guy cares if a minority family gets paid fairly? This doesn't do a very good job of "what's in it for me" which is the direction you need to go in. I rather enjoy being non-union, i have had a few union driving jobs in the past and not liked them near as much, when guys do dumb things, get fired, and go cry to the union to get their job back just screws every person below them doing a better job

O yeah..UNION is the way to go....IF..You want your pay cut, your vacation taken away,Half your pay check to go to the teamsters "managing fund".I have been with OD for 4 years.Driving for 11.THE BEST company out there and we are still growing.We are a union, of family and friends and plan on staying that way.You can see doors closing on these other companies due to mostly union crap.We are opening new doors and a lot of them.Keep your union crap to yourself.i will keep my OD.

Go work for YRC, pay Union dues, get 15% less pay, and get no Pension. Old Dominion has class employees that think, and know Unions tell lies, and are corrupt in this day and age. Just Google "Union Corruption", and you'll see pages and pages of Union corruption. By the way, if you have a mouse that requires a battery, make sure the battery is new, and you have an extra battery, because there are alot of pages full of Union corruption when you Google it.

u r a idiot every company is struggling i am a union sheet metal worker and i hve been working 70 hrs a week. anything over 40 hrs is time and a half or double time. i worked for od and i would work 60 hrs a week and get payed straight time for all of it. how does that work???? i know they are stealing from u? I've been with the company for almost 4 years myself and I am very happy with the way things are. As far as those two making money for pushing a pencil, if it weren't for them doing their job as well as they do we would be in the same boat as these other companies out there going under. We DO NOT the union! You can STAND on that.

I agree with everyone else, Ive been an Old Dominion employees for 6 years and Im so glad I dont have to line the pockets of those union assholes that "push pen." Im happy with what OUR company is about and im making more money than YRC and most of those"union" companies. So you tell me who the dumbasses are now? With all the Union company's struggling with today's economy such as YRC, Oak Harbor Freight lines, Peninsula tuck lines to name a few have taken both concessions of pay cuts, Health and benefit cuts along with increased tension between management and works...As a OD employee i"m proud to be non-union and proud to work for a non- union company that has treated me for the past 5 yrs with decent pay and benefits without all the Union BS...
