I don't know who invented the vanishing box effect or how they did it, but I have a pretty good idea about how I would do it. In any case (see what I did there?), great effect as usual Dave. It's curious how much your effects seem to appeal to me, they really do. Not once have I had the feeling that a trick of yours wasn't my cup of tea. I'm very glad I discovered you and this channel! Keep it up ;)

Looks cool David, I like the plot idea alot! Have you credited Henry Evans for the bonus box vanish at the end though? His effect is called A Tribute to Varone and I believe it uses the exact same method.

@alcoroller No - I didn't credit Henry Evans. I credited Milbourne Christopher who may or may not have invented but certainly popularised the VCC gimmick about a hundred years ago. It's an old gaff - Evans employed it in an interesting way - the 'shrinking' of a card case, but the actual gaff is WAY older than that.
