@carverswoodshop When you say Lancaster do you mean Lancaster Ohio? If so that is only about a 10 minute drive from my place. I find this very helpful and might stop by, if it were to be where im thinking of.

Hi , i would use a med grit and a fine grit, it wear down but i find the heavy grit takes off to much metal, i used what ever came in the kit , thanks , arleen

clamp your drill in a vice and use a cheap garden plastic tie to clamp the trigger, then you can use 2 hands on the knife

@Supermassively well one way i ck is cutting it across the grain of basswood, it will cut smooth,, and clean,, no white trail lines from the blade,
