Diggers and Wings were not made due to Thames TV (who commissioned Cosgrove Hall to make this) losing their ITV franchise in 1992. CH made 2D adaptations of "Wyrd Sisters" and "Soul Music", but they were shown on Channel 4 several years later. It's a real shame, because this was probably the best stop-motion work they did. As far as I know the VHS version is complete, but the epiosdes are edited into an unbroken whole.
thank you for posting the series, really enjoyed watching them, i watched them when i was a kid-except i missed the last two! so that was brilliant! : )
It didn't really end on a cliffhanger they just didn't make the sequels Diggers and Wings. Does anyone know why that was cos it seems stupid to make one and not the other two and conclude it?
If you haven't read the sequels then I suggest you do so you can find out what happened to the nomes in the end.
maybe because the budget to make wings and diggers would be massive. It was only a very short series when it came out. And in the last book there would especialy be alot of big scenes to do.
It would still be awesome to see them though. I hear a cgi film is on the table, would love to see it then.
Thanks for uploading chojinsteiner, I haven't seen this in years. It was a real treat mate :)

Thanks for taking the time to put this up.
I'd be interested in finding out, on the video release(which I have), were the episodes all complete or were they edited down?

Thanks so much for uploading this.
I had this on Video when I was a kid but not sure what happened to it.
Brought back some memorys. Amazing that this was made in the early 90's... good special effects and modelling even as far back as that.

Never heard of the show and found it an awesome watch. Some of the finist stop motion I've ever seen. Cheers
