I noticed on the back of the DVD cover of the first "Batman" serial there is an image of modern day Hong Kong, which I'm guessing is supposed to be Gotham City, but when I watched the serial, Gotham City looks absolutely nothing like Hong Kong, whether by 1940s times or modern times. But the serial is still entertaining, nonetheless.
I had these on 8mm when I was a kid in the 60's. I always laughed at the fight in the bad guys room, at the house of the open door. If you watch closely, you'll see Batmans CAPE get knocked off, and they continue to fight. There is a cut to another scene, and then back to the fight, and voila... his cape is re-attached. I love this serial.
@dmenace4life I thought about mentioning that, but I left it out. Between that and the bizarre jump cut, the DVD really screwed up chapter 2, as the tape doesn't have that problem, and it does have the next chapter preview. Still means that the preview's original audio is missing, though, although the dialogue would probably be the same.
Lessons learned: Always keep a boy by your side in case you ever are in danger (and his stunt double), and never give Alfred a gun, especially after shooting a radium gun at him as a joke.
When we gonna see part 3?

I too, must get my hands on this 1940s technology.

On the DVD I wonder why they took out the "next chapter sequence"?

@Maniac536 Thank you. Hopefully it will come relatively soon, but I'm not sure how soon because I'm in the middle of moving.
