Badass commercial, I love the car but honestly it's still a Mitsu and want to hit the 200k mile mark in my Subie :) Not so sure Mitsu will be around too much longer as they are posting billions in losses lately.
I'm just saying as a company they are doing poorly. The EVO doesn't account for much of their sales - it's great for marketing though. Mitsubishi sells TVs, cars, industrial equipment, trucks, electronics, etc.
Again, don't confuse that for it being a nice fast car. Personally, I just want the warranty to last longer than the company ;)
What I mean is with the introduction of the 08 Lancer and EVOx, it will be the revival of the company, shoot new life into it. It really is starting up a LOT of hype and commotion, you'd be surprised.
I'm with ya, I hope so for their sake. I wanted an EVO IV for as long as I can remember, I hated the VII and VIII's. IX MR is nice, and the X is a big change - but even if it gets people buying the car in record numbers, these types of cars don't make that much money per car as compared to something like the base lancer or something more common and popular.
It is going to take a lot to bring them back. They are trying to sell the outlander to cover their losses now.
I'd say the Evo's themselves are FAR more common then Lancer's nowadays, the Evo itself IS a large backbone portion to Mitsu's sails. I wouldn't downplay them to that extent. There are so many Evo's here in socal, I'm sure the Evo is the selling point of all the Mitsu dealers here! With the EvoX just around the corner, they are practically giving the IX's away with killer deals.

Sorry, I meant I don't want the warranty to last longer than the company.
But if it's a religion, why did they sit out of the 06 WRC?

Anyway, how can you not like the VIII and love the IXMR? They are the closest Evo's out of the generation with barely any aesthetic changes.

Yeah every thing was basically the same they were just buying time for the X
