Just read the NME interview with Jaime Harding....he clearly had a really difficult time, at times it was heartbreaking....glad to hear that he is better :)
Jaime had one of the best voices ever. I remember seeing them live in '96 and being blown away by their energy. Things should've gone differently for them, definitely.
Great band, saw them supportin morissey early 90s and have been a fan since. Time and sleep are classics that the world has sadly missed - stunning timeless tunes!
que emoción volver a escuchar después de tanto tiempo este tema, hasta las lagrimas. Otra de esas joyas infravaloradas de los buenos tiempos del brit pop...
These are from my home town Macclesfield. Used to have a few drinks with the lead singer (after they broke up) whenever I saw him in town. Not seen him in years though.
I had the album This World And Body on tape and it snapped three times; I rethreaded the tape to the spool each time with less and less of the album remaining each time and it took so long but I thought it worth it as there was no internet then. Still can't find the full album though, even with the internet. Grrr.
marion are a classic example of a band who never got the success they deserved! easily one of the best bands of the 90's. great honest music. if success is writing songs that resonate with someone thru time then they have that in me and many others i feel. respect.
wow!!!!! I still love Marion! the guys got back together and have done a few shows over the years,I saw them play London and Mcr in 2005... Jaime's done a couple of solo impromptu gigs too... they looked great too! thanks for posting this!
Seen Marion in '95 supporting Morrissey and thought they were destined for stardom. Shame they never got the credit they deserved. Still got all their singles and stuff!
I also had the album on cassette tape (showing my age!) and played it so much the reel snapped! I can't believe it isn't available on cd. Will make investigations!!
I also had this album on tape, i still listen to it, its fantastic and have never even seen it on cd! So cruely under-appreciated. I remember a Mark Radcliffe session from when i was really really young and seem to remember them doing this song and 'Vanessa' from the album, great band :-)x

In the 90s I was into more Grunge but Marion were a great band. Sod blur and Oasis they are so stale listen to Liam Galaghers new track for proof.

Joy Division were a huge influence on Marion THAT is fact. Though the singer sound's rather Bonoish! great band and GREAT single was Time. 8/10

An absolutely CRIMINALLY overlooked band. The NME has been a crock of shit for years, they should be ashamed of themselves.

You can get the album on CD, don't worry; just look on the usual Amazon sites and the like.
Really good band, got lumped in with Britpop but never really were. The album still sounds excellent today.
