THis song was a VH1 hit at the time, and hit the Adult COntemporary charts I believe. Pretty sure MTV didn't touch this and probably hardly if at all touched You DOn't Have to Go Home TOnight.
I always thought of this song as a sequal to you don't have to go home tonight in my mind. it is just sad you don't see this cd in the store no more as there was some other good songs on the cd.
I heard this on the MUZAK a bunch of times in a K-MART when the song first came out . Didn't know who it was. Loved it instantly. I went to the average mall music store, asked if someone there was a music trivia "geek"..I described the song..sung it best as I could. And the guy I talked to knew it was the Triplets..wow. I bought the "thicker than water" cd right there. The song's awesome
@tonymcheezee Thank god for google---you can go there, type in four or five words plus the word "lyrics" and you'll find the song you want very often--I've found a ton of songs that way
@tonymcheezee I know what you mean. Every now and then I'll hear a modern song that I like (Nelly Furtado's "In God's Hands" is really pretty, you should check it out), but for the most part, I'm not too crazy about the radio these days.
All I know is that i tried and that is all that matter...God will be good to those whom are good to people...of all types...its a learning experience...Good music more in the hiding but one must let this go...who cares anyway...
The first time I bought this album, I bought the spanish language version. I randomly picked it because I was dating a spanish speaker and wanted to learn the language. (which I never did learn) Years later, I found the english language version. This song, and pyramids of pleasure are my two favs in any language.
@jkdbacks It's just too bad that bands this awesome with this kind of music... don't hang around someone should do some history on them..to find out WHERE ARE THEY NOW. Did you know that the guy ( band ) that sang the 80's song ( Jenny, Jenny who can I turn to 867-5309) He's now a math teacher?!
This is 1991, but people will say it's 80s.

The Triplets still sing and write songs. I know Sylvia and Vicki live in Kentucky and Diana is in Florida.
