  • This is really a good song, i feel terrible when any artist i like passes, for it is they who bring us joy ! No one knows young, old when their time has come. Treasure the memories, support them while they are alive. Show the Love R.I.P. DaveyThank you!

  • They looked and sounded GREAT! Damm it all, I was gona see them last year but it was one of the shows that they cancelled--i thought no problem, I'll just see them in June 2012! I'll never get the chance! Thanks for the memories Davy. WAY too soon my friend!!

  • Oh yes, forgot...R.I.P. Davey Jones! The Monkees sold more records in 1966 ...23 million in fact. More then the Beatles or the Stones that year!

  • Mickey, your the greatest but maybe the Bing Crosby hat should go!1 : )

  • 2:11 in his youth :(

  • Rest in peace, Davy. We love you.

  • Another painful sling for us Baby boomers.

  • Ill still go see mickey and peter

  • I was born in '64, so I was a 2nd generation (of the show) Monkees fan.... I had no idea I was watching repeats. Davy Jones --- my 1st crush. The world Will Miss Him.

  • I loved the Monkees.. I was in the Monkee Club as a kid..looked forward to every episode of their fun TV show..Davy Jones was my very first band member crush..this is so beyond sad news..RIP sweet Davy xox

  • RIP Davy Jones !! I saw the big reunion show in 1987. It was good to see them perform. Lots of fun memories. I enjoyed the television show too as a kid. I would race home to watch it every day.

  • i used to read about whitney houston being in and out of rehab in the newspapers so i was not surprised i saw michael jackson in a wheelchair loking frail and ill about a year before he died so i was not surprised BUT Davy Jones? no friggin way...can't believe ok he was 66...but a very youthful, vibrant man he still was and appeared far younger i am deeply saddened and his shows were still great and his band was tops was planning on seeing him in May....damn RIP DJ....
  • Krenkel is right, great memories.

  • This song hooked me hard on the Monkees in 1986 !! The Monkees were back and on MTV and back "on Tour". It was a great "Comeback". I'm glad someone got footage of the last stage performances of the guys in 2011. I am still wondering why that tour, got cut short? And rumor has it, they planned to tour again in June 2012.

  • That was then, and, 2/29/12, this is now. R.I.P. DAVY JONES. BUMMER!!!!! THANKS for the memories!

  • RIP DAVEY JONES

    2/29/2012

  • Makes me feel young...or should I say younger!!!

  • never gets old listening to the icons of my youth...great to see they still have it...thanks for the music Davey...time is slipping away from us all.

  • R.I.P. DAVEY JONES

  • So glad I was there!!

    R.I.P. David Thomas "Davy" Jones (30 December 1945 – 29 February 2012)

Thank you for the Music and Great Memories!

  • I wish they would come to m area. I LOVED The Monkees when I was a kid & still do. Nice that Davy will sing along with this song. For a long time, he would walk offstage.

  • Geriatric rock 'n roll at it's best. Congratulations for hanging in there with us, guys.

  • I was Beatlesonlyblog and I remember the MTV merathon and when Monty Landes AKA Mr Zero stopped into the studo and visited with Micky! I remember going to see them at the Ohio Theater in 1989 and nearly fainting when Micky did one of his wild gags on stage... Was a great time for all to experience these guys over the years....

  • @PamelaJoParrish - i rememeber that marathon too- i kept flipping between that and browns jets dbl ot game - was goin on at same time - soon as the game was over - i was all monkees the rest of tht sat- thnx to my dads love of the monkees

  • Mickey has one of the strongest voices I've heard. He is a hoot to be around, and has alot of dirty jokes that you just wouldn't expect from him.

  • Seen them back in 86.....Awsome concert!!! Love the music.

  • damn jones actaully stays for it!? what an idoit he was

  • @Beatlesonlyblog I am in the same exact age boat as you! We used to watch the Monkees in reruns in the 70's, we had their albums and 8 tracks! Do you remember the weekend that MTV re ran the whole series I think that was in '85 - I was home sick with the flu and my older brother asked me to tape it for him! Ah, those were the days! I hope they come back to Merrillville again, we are right around the corner now!

  • @MsYardage I'm a 2nd generation fan (huge fan from 1986 on) and I remember that Monkee Marathon from MTV because I also taped every single episode - CUTTING OUT ALL THE COMMERCIALS too! That was tough staying up 24 hours straight, ha ha. I still have those tapes and I even watched them all again just a few months ago! Now I'm "into" them again and can hardly believe that one of them is gone now!

  • OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG holyyyyy shit WOOOOFUKKINHOOOO to bad Mike never came back...

  • I LOVE THEMONKEES SO MUCH I LOVE PETER TORK AND MICKY AND MIKE AND davy.

  • saw them 3 times in denver as a teenager. loved them lots. tx for posting this,as i have not seen them in person

  • the monkees 1st big reunion tour was my 1st concert i went to back in the 80s

  • I saw them 3 times back in the 80's...this song brings back so many memories!!! Micky's vocals have gotten so much better with age :)

  • I was at this show. It was great!! I saw them in '86 (when I was single) and '96 (when the oldest was 5). This time my kids were old enough to go with me. Ahh, but the Monkees make me feel young so I can handle it!!

  • yeah makes me feel old too, I'm the same age and that was their 2nd coming, in the 80's! haha
