  • can some tell me the chords to the last part 2:07?

  • Moving rock forward - genius

  • oh yes!! killer song!! deadly good stuff

  • Does anyone know what kind of shirt is Beck wearing? Is it some kind of linen Embroidered Guayabera or something else from Mexican origin?

  • Comment removed

  • This reminds me of the tunes we'd Hear back in Nom, make love to that guitar son

  • ....check out these queens... :P ...really outta sight man, really outta sight...

  • Damn, these boys can jam!

  • @lambchopsf If you like the jamming look up 'record club' on beck.com......you should like it.

  • 1:03-1:21 gives me chills!

  • Gotta love that Silvertone tone!

  • This is a killer jam, thanks for posting.

  • one of my fav beck songs

  • Serge Gainsbourg - requiem pour un con

he get truly inspired from this french genius artist

  • Beck just wrote and produced Serge's daughter Charlotte Gainsbourg's new album, unfortunately the record co has removed most of the video from YT!

  • thanks sooo much!!!!!!!!!!

  • I want to be in Beck's Band.

  • So f*cking cool...

  • This kicks ass.

  • Beck sang with Serge's ex-wife Jane Birkin, and he's been writing and producing their daughter; Charlotte Gainsbourg's new album for the last year and a half, should be released any day now...can't wait

  • Always such great info. Thanks.

  • ne, he steals from serge one more time. First paper tiger, now this. I rather prefer listeting his early stuff, golden feelings and such

  • Yes, that is a Rush sticker on his guitar. I knew I liked Beck for some reason.

  • Reason=Rush PWNS!

  • Great performance. The rhythm section is ssssssick!

  • Beck has been incredibly influenced by Gainsbourg, this song is a very well done and mutated version of Serge's Requiem pour un con, Beck also took the strings from Melody Nelson for inspiration in Sea Change.

  • this is why we love Beck

  • damn good video

  • dude rocks.

  • I think Beck should play more guitar solos. He's a damn good guitarist.

  • listen to vampire voltage no. 6 it's on youtube. awesome guitar climax. oompity poompity

  • It's not really a solo. It's more of a bridge. Buy his simplicity is what makes him so delectable.

  • Only in his very best performances does he have that look- 1:39- allowing us to catch a glimpse of the world he visits as he describes what it sounds like there and invites us into it. Absolutely brilliant!

  • He really does have such esoteric tastes, how many Americans are obsessed with Serge Gainsbourg lol! Beck sang with his wife Jane Birkin and produced his daughter Charlotte's new album. you have to hear S.G.'s Requiem Pour Un Con....and the drum part!!!!

  • Def my favorite from the finale triple track of The Information.

  • Yeah for sure, I edited the song so it was just Landslide. I liked the rest of the song too but this part is definitely the best of the trio

  • His inventive use of percussion has always amazed me

  • thps song makes me want to be a drummer.

  • @danielion999 did u ever become one? you had 2 years

  • dear thanks for the vids and all but this percussion is a tribute to Serge Gainsbourg, if you want i'll mail you the song with the percussion Beck uses in Landslide :)

  • It's funny you should mention that he sang with Serge's wife Jane Birkin(I'm sure you've seen it, it's hilarious), and he produced his daughter Charlotte Gainsbourg this year on her new album. I love the drum and percussive set up here, he does this often, with the two drummers and 2 percussionists etc. on too many songs and performances to mention, which S.G. song btw specifically is it here on yt somewhere?

  • yeah i've heard/seen that all.. i think that his interest in the Gainsbourg ladies may be inflicted by the fact that he worships Serge in a way? the song by he french is this - Requiem Pour Un C... , atleast so says my player

  • I found it, S.G. requiem pour un con, Have you seen the Pacebo remake requiem for a jerk LOL! Thanks for the reference, brilliant COH

  • In fact, "Requiem for a jerk" is a remix by Faultine, Brian Molko only sings

  • that Serge song is brilliant. I never thought of that connection before, but it makes total sense.

  • Suuuuuuweeeeet!!!!

  • OMG, I just found this...one of my(many)faves from The Information. Thank you so much for posting!!!!!!!!

  • Dare I say better than the album version!!? =O

  • black tambourine
